How long does it take a thumb-cut to heal

Do you know how irritating it is to have a cut right on the inner part where you bend your thumb? I cut myself on the kitty food can lid the other night, so now I can't use my thumb. At least it's not the part I type with, so that works anyway, but all my crafts or games or anything I *want* to do (can't even hold my book in that hand well ) I gotta wait until this heals up.

You only type with 1 hand?

I hope it heals soon. Throw some alcohol on it, put some neosporin (sp?) on it, and put on a bandaid on it for a few days.

No, I type with both hands. But the cut is on the side of the thumb opposite the side I type with.

I've got neosporen (sp?) and band aids and have been changing those regularly.
