how long does it really take to get you luggage??

i was originally told that by the time i got to my hotel my luggage would be waiting there for me...now after talking to someone from ME directly i was told it could be up to 4 hours... can anyone who has used ME give me an idea please

I know that it can vary, but we got ours in less than 2 hours. 8/31 arrival at MCO at 5:45 pm, staying at the ASMU. We checked in, dropped off our carry ons, got something to eat at the food court, and our luggage was in our room when we got back.

The factors: slow time of year, not many people checking in that time of day.

we are going next week... also slow time.. and getting in to mco at 7:05 also late.. but i was still told at least 4 hours... i think i am just going to take my luggage myself... they told me this would be ok!

If you don't want to handle all of your luggage you can pack a carry on with what you will need for the next day in the event you do not want to wait until late for your luggage to arrive. That's what I always do.

In mid-June we arrived at MCO at 11:55 a.m. On the bus at 12:15, at check-in desk at BCV at 1:10, at the pool at 1:30 (had to change into suits and such) our room was ready at 2:30 and our luggage arrived in the room at 3:00. THere is just no way for your luggage to be in your room waiting for you upon check-in. If you are able to get into a room right away, you are going to have to wait for your luggage. But, if you have to wait for a room to be ready, you could find your luggage there.....but it's going to take a bit of time. Just think of all the luggage they have to transport from the airport, get to each resort and then sort through it to get the right luggage to the right people!!! Takes much longer than getting people to the resort. So, again....take a carry-on with anything you will need for the first few hours. We always take clean undies, deod., toothbrush/paste, swimsuits, suntan lotion and maybe a clean shirt. We've never been stuck that way.

If your luggage does come in late, do they wake you up and bring it to you?

We just got back from Caribbean Beach. Our plane got in about 11 am, and we arrived at the resort around 11:30. Our room was ready for us, we went to the room then went to the food court to get lunch. When we got back to the room about 1 or so, our luggage was "magically" there.
One thing we did though was to pack our carry-ons of our essentials, a change of clothes, and swimming suits, just in case it wasn't there for a while.

I want to go back!!!!!!

If your luggage comes in late, they will call you in the a.m. or leave a message on your phone. It will be held at the concierge area. Also, our luggage arrived within 45 minutes of our resort arrival a few weeks ago.
