How long does it really take before we are in Disney's system?

We just closed on a DVC purchase of 150 BCV pts and are anxious to make our first reservations. We were told that we should be in Disney's system in about 10 days. Does it really take that long? How will we know when we are in the system? Does anyone call us or do we need to call them every day? We are planning an Easter trip and feel that every day counts if we are going to be able to get into any DVC property on such short notice.

We closed on a VWL contract on 9/20 and were surprised to find out that we were in the system only 2 days later! Think it took longer the other times but NOT 10 days -- more like 5-7 days. I'd give it a try starting mid-week (10/13)...

If you bought direct from Disney call your guide. When we bought we had our first reservation the same day we put a deposit down, before we even closed.

If it is a resale it takes a few days. Call Tuesday and see if you are in the system.

It usually takes about 3-5 working days from the time DVC receives the paperwork, sometimes a little less even.

We just closed on a resale on Tues 10/5 and we were in the system today Fri 10/8.

I would definitely start calling after 3 or 4 days to see if you are in the system.
