I am sure every place is different but it should be close how long does it take to dine and meet characters?

IF you go to a buffet how often do the characters come out. How long do they take to come to your table.

I am sure it is different at a table service but same questions are characters out all the time or every 30 minutes.

How does it work?

Characters are spaced out and one should be at your table every 15-20 minutes. How much time they spend there will depend on the restaurant and how busy they are. The best interaction we have had is at Cape May.

Meals should take about 60-75 minutes. That does not include the time you wait for a table. Some seat behind regularly.

It took the girls an I an average of 90 minutes except at Akershus were it was more like 2 hours before we got out of our dinner.

. . . as mentioned, 60-90 minutes
. . . of course that depends upon how many characters you want to see
. . . to just eat, count on 30-45 minutes

. . . characters have a 20-min on, 20-min off schedule *
. . . however, one person can do up to 2-3 characters
. . . frequently, they do 2 characters
. . . they come to your table as they circulate the room
. . . there is no pre-set amount of time to spend at the table
. . . but, they need to do it within their 20-min appearance time

. . . again, all depends upon single or multiple characters
. . . if there are enough CM's scheduled, then figure 20-on/20-off
. . . if busy, they might go back in before they reach your table
. . . when they come out, the handler should start where they stopped

* This is for "fur". "Face" characters usually keep the same schedule.

We allow 90 mins for ALL DISNEY DINING..Most times we are out slightly before than, but this gives enough cushion for being seated late etc.

I usually budget 90min for character dining. I found this to be especially true with O'Hana's breakfast and Chef Mickey's. Crystal Palace, we normally get done in just over an hour. I think that Crystal Palace has alot more CMs scheduled for the characters, or at least that is what my friend (who is Pooh) has told me. They can switch out more often, and normally don't disappear for a full twenty minutes b/c another CM can take their place.
