How long does a washing cycle take?

I know-the most bizarre question ever asked on here...We have finally decided that we really do bring way too much stuff on holiday, so I am prepared to bite the bullet and do a spot of laundry whist at Disney, so, not being familiar with your American washers-how long does a wash cycle take? And are the washers fairly idiot-proof for someone from the UK? Oh, and are there also tumble driers so I won't have to iron everything?
Its no joke-we do bring way to much in our cases-last time we barely had room to bring our own body weight back in Ghirardelli...

I dried dark clothes today - it took 60 min

I found the dryers to very efficent in drying. The cycle is 60 minutes but clothes were dry in 30/40 minutes.

The new washers and dryers have digital timers. Soyou can see exactly how much ime is left.

Ive just had my cc bill in from our holiday in May and one washing machine and one dryer cost the princely sum of £3.16, you couldn't use a washing machine for that in UK

I take some washing powder tablets with me to save buying there although there are small boxes of powder available and in the past have used two washing machines, one light, one dark wash then put together to dry and no need for ironing.
