How long does a BBB hairdo typically last? Which BBB to keep?

Right now I am holding on to two BBB appointments until I can decide which one is the most practical choice.

Here's the schedule...

Tues. May 26
BBB 5:30pm @ MK
1900 Park Fare 8:15 pm

Wed. May 27
BBB 8:30am @ MK
Princess Storybook Breakfast 11:05

Which BBB would you keep? I thought about keeping the 1st one, but am worried about the hair not "sticking" overnight. Also, if it didn't stick, do you think 5:30 is long enough for her to enjoy the hair, make-up, etc??

I'd really like to know your experiences about how long your BBB hairstyle lasted and your opinions about which BBB to keep. I want to cancel the extra BBB so someone else can get it.

My DD's have been to BBB twice. The first time, they both got the bun hairstyle. There appointments were around 10:00am (we had lunch at the castle) and both girls wanted the bun out by 6:00pm that night. I think it would have lasted through the night, but they were both uncomfortable.

This year, one DD got the fake long hair (fairytale princess???) and that barely lasted the day. It just didn't stay in very long - not sure if the FGIT didn't use enough goop, or if DD's hair wasn't long enough, but the hairstlye was falling apart within 3-4 hours. My other DD got the pop princess with the fake purple hair and the Mickey clips ... that style lasted for 4 days before the gel started to flake and we took it out for a shampoo (I just took out the fake hair every night for her to sleep, then pinned it back in the next morning).

Oh, I vote for keeping the appointment at the MK before Park Fare ... just seems easier and more relaxing than BBB at MK, then monorail to TTT, then monorail to Epcot, then walking through epcot to get to breakfast.

my dd has done bbb twice. the first time she got the diva style which didn't last thru the day. Last year she got the princess style with the bun and it stayed up for 4-5 days (refused to take it down--amazing what we let them do in the world). I would keep the earlier appt so she can enjoy for the whole day in case it won't stay up

My DD has been twice as well and both times she got the bun hair style. The first year we went, we did it at 830am and then that night went to the pirate and princess party and it stayed up all night long. Even through riding the water rides and sweating and everything else we did. Second time it was raining (thanks tropical storm faye) and it still stayed up all day and evening. We made her take it down and wash her hair because her hair was so stiff it just needed it. It took a while to get all that gel out of her hair. AND we had glitter all over everything we owned the rest of the trip!!!

I would pick the early morning one. Then your DD can enjoy the hairstyle the whole day. My DD has done the BBB twice - first time the bun and the second time the diva style. The bun we took out at the end of the day, but the diva style she slept thru the night and it looked great the next day. So we did the castle breakfast the first day and the princess storybook the next morning.
It worked out great

good luck

Another vote for keeping the later BBB appointment at the castle.

My daughter has gotten the diva hairstyle and the princess bun. Both of them would have lasted for days, but she tired of both of them after sleeping on them for one night.

My DGrD got the Diva and it easily lasted 2 days. She has very long hair. Not a piece moved from her sleeping.:cloud9:We washed it the second night because her head started itching! ( We were there in August!)
I guess it is according to how old she is but I would go with the first appt. It should easily last until the 11:05 breakfast the next day.

My daughter got the bun-style on a Sunday afternoon at the castle. We ate at 1900 PF that night. The next day, we at at the Norway princess meal, and the bun still looked perfect. It even lasted through another nap and several rides on Test Track. If your daughter doesn't mind sleeping in it, it will stay for a couple of days!

My daughter went to BBB on a Monday morning at 8:00AM. It took about 45 minutes. We had a breakfast at CRT at 9:05AM and had lots of time. Her hair stayed in for three days (she only took it out because we made her:rotfl:).
She slept with it in, went to the parks and on all of the rides and it still looked great. I would fix it a little in the morning and it would be fine( not as good as the first day but she was happy with it). Here are some pictures through the days so that you can she how well it lasts

Thank you for all of the replies.

The pictures were great! How long was your DD's natural hair in those pictures?

:goodvibes

We have been twice and both times the hair lasted for days, literally. We went on Thursday first appointment of the day both times (not an exceptional memory, it was Thanksgiving both times). Both times Thursday night we went to Chef mickey's and the photos look great. Both times Friday morning we went to CRT and both times the photos looked the same as the day before. While both times the hair stayed thru Saturday when the kids jumped in the pool one last time because we checked out on Sunday both times, I have proof on our lst trip the hair still looked the same Saturday night because we went to Akerhaus and the photos with Belle lstill ooked great. We have not done the bun, as my kids are dancers and wear buns all the time, but the fake hair ones (both) and both lasted, so whatever you choose as long as she doesn't go in the pool, she'll be fine!

Oh, and my DD9 donated her hair to Locks of Love on our first day of our trip at the Main Street Barber Shop, her hair was not long (though not short, but above the shoulder), but they got it up fine.
