Just wondering how long people spend in the restaurants?

In MK we usually spend maybe 30 minutes for the counter service and about a hour for sit down.

In Ak,since there are no sit down(except Donald's Break.) we spend about 45 minutes.

In MGM we seem to spend about 45 minutes no matter if its sit down or counter

Epcot we seem to spend at least 1 1/2 hours at a restaurant no matter how fast we want to go.

I was just thinking, except for Epcot,if we were going too fast with our meals?

Your time spans sound pretty reasonable to me. We tend to spend 1 hour+ at our last meal of the day, simply because we talk about all we did and we're getting our second wind for the rest of the evening. We never rush, so 45 minutes is probably our average for lunches. I think the loop at Sci Fi runs 40 minutes and we are usually still seated to see it repeated some. Ohanas may be longer since we like to watch all the contests and the evening water parade outside the windows. We've never been rushed to finish by any waitstaff and that is very appreciated.

A normal meal at V&A runs about 2.5 hours, and the Chef's Table about 3.5 hours.

AT most "table service" spots (other than V&A!!) we spend around and hour and a half (and sometimes even more) . IF a meal last just an hour I feel rushed. Always depends of course on how service is that night--. And on what you order. We always do drinks, appetizer, and dessert along with the meal, which adds to the time.
A whole lot depends on wheteher you are at dinner just for a "feeding", or are there to enjoy yourself.

In my planning, I always carve out 1 hr for a counter service and 2 hrs for a table service. Even though our plan is very fluid (no park commandos here) we don't want to fell rushed at all. THe couple of times where timing is important is when a meal is before a fireworks or parade (Le Cellier ressies before Illuminations, for example)

Planning suffient time also allows you to relax more, resting those weary feet. When possible we get a dessert we can take with us (a to go box and a plastic fork). We leave the table so the server can flip it to another set of guests, and we go sit somewhere comfortable, and people watch while we eat dessert.

At Ohana and Teppanyaki, they attempted to rush us out. What was funny was that Teppanyaki was about 1/3 full and it was pouring rain.

I do admit that I got a little impatient with theme park TS lunches..there was so much to do "out there." After the first one, I told my kids that we would not be ordering dessert at lunch from then on (we weren't on the dining plan) because it took too much extra time (plus it is fun to snack later, anyway).
