How long do you spend at Blizzard Beach?

You can absolutely spend the entire day there! We like to arrive at opening time and usually have to drag the kids out at closing time because they don't want to leave. There is a lot to do and you'll want to do things multiple times. We had the best time on the family raft ride. The lazy river also takes up a lot of our time as we usually go around that several times during the day. DS9 loves the wave/bobbing pool so much that he'd probably spend the entire day there. DH is a non-swimmer and he has a great time. At the end of the day he usually grabs his camera out of the locker and walks around for a half hour or so taking pictures, while I get an extra time around the lazy river....usually without the kids, because they tend to walk around with Dad!

Just make sure you bring plenty of sun screen and re-apply it during the day. We usually put on additional sun screen after lunch, just to be sure nobody gets burned too bad. ::MinnieMo

You can deffinately spend the whole day there. Although we normally opt to go after lunch and spend the 2nd half of the day there. Depends on the ages of your kids and such. Mine prefer going commando for a few hours and then doing something else.

We generally don't stay the whole day. We get there right when the park opens and usually leave around 1 or 2. By that time we're ready to get out of the sun and the water.

You probably could if you really wanted to.
I only spend the morning there to ride summit plummet.. :upsidedow

Thanks for asking this question. We are visiting the water parks in May and not sure how long to allow for each park. I'm thinking a half day for each TL and BB. Thanks for the input, everyone!:thumbsup2

You could spend the whole day for sure. We usually get there 1st thing in the AM when it's less crowded and then leave around 2 or 3 to go back to our resort, change and head out for dinner.

Thanks for all the help!
I was thinking doing of doing BB in the morning and a park in the evening when it was possible. I just wish they opened earlier than 10am lol. With evening park EMH hours I might just do that:thumbsup2

We only do a half day at a time in either of the water parks. We get there at rope drop and stay until lunch time. For some reason, the wps are just more tiring to us, and by lunch time we are ready for a rest, and then some rides at night.

This is what we do.

We usually will have something 'big' planned for that evening. Be it the Hoop De Doo, or MNSSHP.

We go back to the room, relax, shower and go to wherever it is, we planned.

We were there from about 10 -5 when it closed and we definitely could have stayed longer. And my kids are little. And two are redheads. Just lots of sunscreen and lots of fun.

Anyone ever been to the waterparks in the summer months like June? How crowded are they? I don't want to spend along time waiting for a slide while I'm baking in the sun. Tia!

We spent the entire day there and that was with an 18 mo old, 3 1/2 yr old & an 8 yr old. We had a lot of fun and nobody wanted to leave.

We usually spend the whole day at the water parks. But then we are there in Sept. when the hours are shorter. 10-5. We love the water parks. I think it's DD9's favorite part.:grouphug:

You bet! We spent from rope drop to about 6:00pm there on a hot day in June... it was heaven... we also got to visit the first aid station not once, but TWICE! I would recommend those "Aqua Socks"... you can get them at Wal-Mart for about $4.00... they are about $18.00 at the park...

In summer it's too hot, and in winter it's too cold to be there all day. But in Spring and Fall, we get there at opening and get chased out at closing.
