We are cruising in about 2 1/2 weeks and I am SO on the fence about our Palo Brunch and Remy dinner. I just think we are going to cancel, but I don't want to give it up in case we change our minds. When is the last time we can cancel before cruising with no penalty?

You can cancel up to 24 hours prior to the reservation for both. Meaning you don't have to cancel prior to the cruise.

From the DCL website:
When Guests have not cancelled a dining reservation at Palo or Remy at least 24 hours prior to the reservation or do not show to the restaurant to honor their reservation, the reservation is considered confirmed and 100% of the Dining Option is applied to the Guests' folio.

Up to 3 days prior to departure date to be assured of getting a full refund (or not being charged). After that, you may incur a fee. Below is what it has on DCL site when reserving Palo/Dining. If it's before the 24hr mark, I think you have a good chance of NOT incurring any fees. After that, I think you're stuck with it.

All Guests dining at Remy must be age 18 or older. Each Guest may dine at Remy only once per cruise and may dine at Palo only once per cruise for each meal – Dinner, Brunch and High Tea. All prices are subject to change without notice. Cancellations can be made up to 3 days prior to the cruise departure date. After that time cancellations must be done aboard ship and are subject to cancellation fees. Sorry PrincessShmoo - didn't see your post until after I resonded...

Palo dinner can be canceled up to 2 pm, on the ship not 24 hours in advance. Brunch the night before.

Pre cruise it's midnight eastern time three days before.

I went ahead and cancelled Remy. It wouldn't let me cancel Palo but it is on day 4 so I can always do that once on board. Thanks for the info.

Great post! I want to do Remy supper, but won't know until we get on board whether my littlest one will be okay in the clubs. She will just be 3. I know my son (5), will be great as he loved them last time, but it will be all new for our daughter.

From our recent Wonder cruise, we were told by the manager at Palo minimum of 24 hours notice.

Hi. His says I can only dine once at Palo and Remy. I have Palo and Remy booked for our first two nights and concierge told me I can book the other two nights with them once onboard. Is this not correct?

Thank you.

You can only pre-book one each Palo/Remy dinner/brunch. Once onboard, subject to availability you can make additional reservations.

This differs quite a bit from DCL's official statement. What is your source?
Source? Sounds like a newspaper!

But actually, the three phone calls and ticket reminder on the Magic three weeks ago, they call you and leave a voicemail re dress code and when to cancel and you get a card reminder on fish mail.

Regular DCL cruisers would know that and that website is not always the same as on the ship.

Whilst you can only book one of each online pre cruise, tell shoreside concierge to note your request that you want extras in your " concierge requests" they book these on ship before embarkation as soon as the computers are turned over to the new cruise. So they get first choice then, but if you leave it to when you go to the concierge meet some prime slots will be gone.

Well, I guess my platinum status doesn't count me as a regular, because I did not know there was a different cancellation policy. However I don't think I've ever cancelled a meal at Palo or Remy, and I'm not sure I've ever carefully looked at the ticket to see a cancellation time. I have not had your experience that the information on the website is very different from the ship itself. My concern with your statement is that Disney could easily change what's written on the ticket and use that 24 hour cancellation policy. I also wonder if the policies might be different on the smaller ships or between Palo and Remy. As your recent cruises have been on the Magic, and you have never sailed the Dream, perhaps there are differing policies. If so, someone might assume from your post that they still have time to cancel, when in reality they don't. This would most especially be an issue if they booked either restaurant for the first night of the cruise. It seems safer to me, before boarding, to assume the longer cancellation policy, to prevent unwanted cancellation charges. People who are dining later in the cruise, can obviously look at their tickets or talk to guest services to determine any differences.

Thank you. When I sent all my requests in I did have it noted. They should have it set when I board. Thank you very much.
