How long do points transfers take?

I have never transferred points or received them and we will be shy about 8 points for our next trip and will be wanting to purchase them from another DVC member to be transferred to our account. Anyone have time to tell me what to expect?

We rented points a few months ago and had them transferred to our account. It really was a snap. However, it was not instant....it probably took close to 48 hours. I did learn a couple of things. One is that the TP became June 2005 UY once hitting my account, althougth they were actually a different month/uy prior to.............which worked out fine for me. All in all, i thought it was a very easy way to go!
