How long do I wait?

background - we are leaving for our Disney trip in 28 days. We had originally decided to rent a car as we were staying at SSR, but instead changed the reservation to BLT. then decided to ditch the rental and use ME, but I just called about a week ago to make the DME reservation.

How long do I wait before I call back and make sure they are sending my tags? I'm starting to worry, because I really want them to take the luggage instead of having to pick it up with two small kids in tow.

Even if you don't get the yellow tags, you can still use the ME baggage service. You will have to stop at the ME counter and give them your baggage tags from the airline, but that usually only takes a few minutes. I didn't get any of my ME info for my last trip and stopping at the counter didn't cause any delay and my bags showed up in the room when I got back to the resort.
