How long did you wait to vote?

I am a little perplexed by the reported long lines to vote. I have never waited more than 2 minutes. There was one person ahead of me today. How long did you wait?

I walked right in. No one was there. When I pulled into the parking lot I thought I was in the wrong place. I walked right in and out. I drove there from home, voted, and was back in front of my house in 6 minutes.

It depends on the polling site.. I know in our county we have merged polling places from 1 to 2 .... so the lines were a bit longer. I think alot of people are interested in the outcome of this election and have opted to utilize their privilege to vote. I vote early (always have)... so when they open at the clerks office, I go in (my wait was less than 5 minutes from start to finish.. spent another 10 socializing). My DH likes to vote on election day.. he waited 1 hour today..but lots of people go in at the earliest time available as to not miss any time from work for those who are not lucky enough to have this day off.

Our town only has one polling place, the high school. The parking lot was a bit hectic, but once I got inside it moved pretty fast. We have a pretty big town too. 25,000. I am just glad I didn't not try to go after 5. It is going to be crazy!

In and out, no lines, no waiting.

But then again there are less then 2000 people in town and only about 1/2 of them are old enough to vote. LOL I was voter #253 today, the machine tallies the cards.


What kind of machine do y'all have? We got the fill in the bubble ones last year, they replaced the flip the switch and pull the lever ones.

I waited less than 10 minutes. I voted about 9 this morning and I had ballot 254. We have had a steady stream all day (the polling place is my Dh's church), although I guess there was a bit of the a line at the beginning of the day. I know I was told we had a higher turnout than ever before and that was at 9am.

We have the bubble in the ballots- same as we had in LaBelle. In Miami, we had computerized touch screens.

DH said there was about 30 people in front of him when he went and he waited 45 minutes at about 7:00 am. I went at 8:30 and there were maybe 5 people in front of me. I had to wait about 2 minutes for a booth.

We have the bubble fill in kind. It took longer to fill out the bubbles than it did to wait. We had two sheets front & back to fill out. My sheets were 159 & 160.

we have the connect the arrow with the black marker and then feed it into the computer scanner. I was surprised because they have been reporting long lines everywhere.

I was in and out- it took me longer to get DD to be nice to DS while I voted. We have the turn the dial and click machines.

I waited about 5 minutes to turn in my absentee ballot yesterday. They had a table outside the election office. Two people making sure you signed your envelope, time stamp the envelope, and since I was dropping off multiple ballots (mine and DH's) I had to sign the book, and say how many I was dropping off. Here in Colorado, there aren't the long lines, but that's because 70% have already voted! We've got the longest ballot in the country (there are a million propositions and a ton of judge retainments), so they encouraged people to vote early or vote by absentee.

From the time I parked my car until I got back into it, it was 15 minutes. At 7:00 am there was a slight line but nothing huge. Obviously everyone was voting before they went to work because there was no line, the parking lot was near empty when I went by after work.

DH voted around 1:00 pm and walked right in.

We had to fill in the bubbles on the ballot form then feed it into the machine.

We had the computerized touch screens. We have several different places throughtout town to vote -- maybe 5?

My sister lives in Pennsylvania. She waited in a 40 minute line at 6:30am (I think that time is right -- before work anyway)

Sister lives in a tiny town in New York. At 6:30 the line wrapped around the building. She decided to not vote. She said she was voting for Vice President because she doesn't like either Presidential candidate.

I live in a small town- about 4500. We had one electronic machine, or you could fill in the bubble and feed it thru the machine.
My 2 oldest kids were excited to vote in their first Presidential election, so we all went together-DH, too. They did not want me to take pictures LOL. We were the only ones there at 1:00.

I got to the polling place at 7 am today and left at 9 am, so two hours.

Didn't wait at all. Walked in ... signed the paper ... walked into the voting "booth" and was done. I, too, was wondering where all these lines were. However, the sign-in page was really really full ... lots had already been there. I'm in the suburbs of Philadelphia.

I got there about 7:10 am and I waited about 20 minutes. Not bad, but I have never had to wait at all before, so when I saw the line stretching through the parking lot I was a little nervous. I had to vote before work or I would have missed it. I think a lot of people went first thing. DH said he was there around 9 am and there were no lines at that time.

we have the ballots wehre you fill in the arrows and then feed them through the machine. I was close to 400 at 11am. We were in and out in no time. It took longer for my youngest to sweet talk to women out of stickers LOL
He ended up with 3 stickers.

Took me a min...sign...wait for the lady to see me and announce that I am voting...push the buttons to turn the lights on next to my choices...

Honestly, it took longer to get in the place, DH knew 2 candidates, and they were both there...yak...yak...yak...

And we canceled eachother out on everything except unopposed, and 1 other person
