How long can your kids keep going?

Our boys were almost 5 when we went this year for their first time. They were like energizer bunnies, kept goign and going and going . We had strollers for both of them, one of my boys we get in and sit for a while between attractions. My other son really walked most of the time. there were times towards the end of the trip he would get in the stroller and take a break. We took advantage of late extra magic hours at each park. One of the days we stayed at MK until past midnight. One of our boys fell asleep in the stroller and our other one stayed awake the entire time.
I was shocked at how much walking my boys did, but was soooo thankful that we took our strollers with. It was a life saver.

Are you brining a stroller for your 6 year old?? My SIL had one for her 6 1/2 year old and she said it was the best decision she made.

We just got back a few weeks ago and my almost 7 year old DD was able to stay up until 12 or 1 most nights. She is a night person who can sleep until 8 or 9 so we didn't usually go to a park until around lunch time. I did take her for a late character breakfast at AK and I had to wake her up to get her going. My DD even outlasted my DH, we were in MK during an EMH one night which was until 3 AM but at 12:30 my DH said he was exhausted and needed to go back to the resort.

It depends on your kids. Mine are Disney fanatics. Like me, they'd rather be on a ride or at a show than sit and eat, sleep, or even (for the older one) swim!

When they were 9 and 4 we did Disneyland for 3 days. They begged me to not take them back for naps...so on the average day we went from 8 a.m. to around 11 p.m. That was from the time we left the hotel to the time we were in bed.

This summer they were 12 and 7. We did DisneyWorld for 7 days. We did from open the first 3 full days we were there. That includes a day when we were at park opening at 9 and left the park at 2:30 the next morning! One day we only did 8 hours in the park so we could watch the Space Shuttle, swim, tour our resort, etc. The last full day we were there for a full day again.

Would my kids ever tolerate that kind of schedule anywhere else? Nope! There was only one day I had to push my little one. Around midnight on our longest day he was ready to pack it in, but after a Dole Whip he was refreshed and ready to head to Pirates!

My kids are great travelers. If yours are, too, you might be amazed how long they can keep going when fueled by a Mickey Waffle or two, !
