How long can the member site be down?

I can´t believe it is still down. Any guesses to when a company as large as Disney will get things working again?

How long has it been down for you? I’ve had no issues accessing it lately and just double checked right now, still no problem.
 

Site keeps crashing again this morning at 8am.

That, unfortunately, happens too often at 8 a.m., particularly at times when high numbers of members are trying to reserve right at 11-months out for very high demand times like dates around Christmas week. And then the problem can disappear by 10 or 15 minutes after 8 a.m., by which time all those hard to get reservations are gone.

So, some are getting in!
I have been going in more often, but I am checking waitlist dates for HHI. That resort has been very popular for this spring!!
 
You would think with Disney going into the streaming business they would of figured out how to upscale their servers to handle all the traffic they have. It is still pretty shocking how bad their IT is, at least for the Resorts side, hopefully their streaming division can give them a hand soon.

Checking availability is no problem, but booking is. I have had a number of instances of getting getting hung up while trying to book at 8am. The room shows available, I click on it to book, and it spins, and ... yesterday: 7 dwarves. Today, it told me that the room was gone, which I can live with ... but managed to get something, at least.

I had better luck getting a Rise of The Resistance BG!!

It will be like this till Disney fixes the problems. These issues have been around for a long time. They slowed down a bit with the pandemic. Now that it is picking up, the problems are back.
 
Some of my observations:

If you already logged on one browser window, trying to log on in a second window...

or

If you already logged on in your computer, trying to log on via your phone (vice versa)...

or

if you already logged on the member site, trying to log onto other services such as my Disney experience...

All these could lead to some issues, especially if some of the sessions eventually timed out. Thus I always try inPrivate browsing or incognito mode first, if that works, it is time to clear history in normal browser...
