How long can points be banked?

Okay.. I thought I had it all understood.. but my Short Term Memory loss seems to have kicked into high gear and I can't find the answer in the FAQ's... soooooo .. my question is... if you bank points.. is there a limit to how long you can bank them for... I seem to remember it being only to the Next UY? is this correct?

Sorry if this has been asked a gazillion times.. but I haven't been able to locate the answer!

Yes it is only until the next use year. If you have a UY of June and you bank June 2006 points you will be able to use them in June of 2007 and those points are good from June 2007 until May 31st 2008.

Thank you! I thought so.. but had a senior moment and couldn't pull that bit of info out of my brain no matter how hard I tried! LOL!! Thanks! NOT that I foresee me having ANY points to bank in the near future as I only have 9 points left of my 2005 points.. and my UY was Dec!! Looks like addonitis is about to begin!

You've gotten the direct answer. But remember that if you have points you will not use and cannot bank, you have other options. These include renting them, transferring in some cases, using for non DVC options and banking a unit with II.
