How long between parks

This has probably been asked 100 times but I couldn't locate. I'm heading to WDW in December.

Some of the parks I picked close early so my thought is it hop to another park to see the show. I'm wondering how long I should plan on from getting to one park to the other. Or should we just take Lyft to save time?

these are the days I'm thinking of hopping:

MK Closes at 6pm - take Bus or Monorail to Epcot (main goal will be to see the Epcot Forever) Maybe a couple of rides

AK closes at 6pm - Take bus to Hollywood Studios ( main goal to see Jingle Jam Bam)

If you are leaving the Magic Kingdom, Lyft cannot pick you up there. You can take the monorail or ferry to Transportation & Ticket Center and request a Lyft there. You can walk, take the monorail or boat to Contemporary and request a Lyft there.

Minnie Vans can pick you up right at Magic Kingdom but they are more expensive than regular Lyft.

I haven't timed park-to-park Disney transportation, so can't help you with a comparison.

I did try to get from AK to DHS on a bus once but the line was gigantic (I would have had to wait for at least 2 buses to fill before I got on) so I took a bus from AK to YC and then took the boat from YC to DHS. That was not park closing time. I would think the bus lines would be long at park closing time.

You can get pretty accurate times by using Google maps. You can look at all the different methods -- Disney transportation, walking, ride share, or driving yourself.

We park hop frequently when we're there. For MK to Epcot, I'd allow at least 45 min because you have to switch monorails and you never know if the monorails are going to stop. (we managed to time it badly last trip because they were switching out trains or adding a train, so we were held on the track for what seemed like a long time-- prob took about an hour from MK to Epcot). If you take ride share other than Minnie Van, have them pick you up at the Contemporary.

For AK to HS, again, we have awful luck with the buses leaving AK. Rideshare would get you there super quick (less than 30 min). We've waited at least 30 min for a bus before.

Thanks- I think I’ll try and plan on a Minnie van ( I want to try this at least once) for the MK to Epcot day and Lyft from AK to Hollywood studios days

I’ve added $$ to our budget for Lyft as we have meals planned at resorts we aren’t staying at. So knew there were going to be times we wanted to take Lyft.
