How long before we are in the DVC system?

Finally... I can say it out loud.... We are now DVC members!!!!

We closed today. We want to vacation in June so we are shorter than even the 7 month window, so time is of the essence.

How long will it be before we are in the Disney system?

Do I need to wait for a "Packet" and a Guide to make my ressies?

Congratulations and Welcome Home!!

What you need to make a ressie is your members number. I can't help you, we bought direct from Disney, so all of that came even before we closed. Either wait for an answer here or ask your broker.

For our one add on resale, we were able to use those points just about a week after we sent the money in. We didn't have to wait for the deed to be recorded. We were already in the system, so I don't know if that helped with the quick timing.

I do think you'll be OK for June!

It will take at least 2-3 days. If you closed today, I would call on Friday and see if they can pull you up. If not, let them know about the recent closing and see if they can do some investigation internally.

As soon as you are in the computer, you will have an ID. They should be able to find you by name. The Guide is simply a salesperson and has no role in helping you make reservations.

Congratulations! We close for SSR in June---contact your sales rep---he/she should've given you your Member ID#. This is all we needed to make our reservations for September---our cc was drafted yesterday for the down payment, and we were on the system this morning. Good Luck!

We closed on our first resale on 16th February and as of yesterday were still not in Disney's system. The info we got from Timeshare Closing said it could take up to 10 working days to get in the system
