How long before the Check?

I was just wondering how long people find they are at their meals before they start to feel like someones looking to push you out the door? Last trip we didn't do one sit down meal, so I really don't feel I know what to expect. I understand that it depends on the time of day I guess and how busy they are but maybe someone could give me an idea. Sit down meals is one thing, most people leave when they finish the meal that is brought to them. But for a buffet, how long did everyone find? Thanks to everyone in advance!

I must say, we've really never felt "rushed" at any sit down meal, with the exception of one. We don't typically go at the busiest times of year, but I think Disney is fairly good about not rushing you. Especially at character meals. I'd say we were at CA Grill for about an hour and a half, at Le Cellier for over an hour, Boma's, a little over an hour... Character meals, sometimes we are there 2 hours or so (we typically have a later PS for a character breakfast-we're not keeping table space from another family). The only one I've ever felt like the server was ready for us to go was at Crystal Palace last February. And we were there less than an hour!! He wasn't the best server we'd ever had, either. AND, it was DS' birthday. We didn't hang around that one, just because we felt like the server wanted us to leave. It wasn't one of our better character meal experiences. But I don't think you will feel "rushed" at most places!

I've never been rushed. Probably an hour at most buffets, longer at character buffets. I guess you know it's time to go if they stop refilling your coffee.

Question sounds like a John Pinette comedy bit. Four hours at a chinese buffet. Owner finally says "you go now"

We ate quite a few sit down meals and the only place that tried to rush us was Teppanyaki. As soon as the chef left the table - while we had plates totally full of food - the lady brought our check. I refused to even touch it until I had finished eating. She came back a few minutes later - while we still had lots of food on our plates - to get payment, but she had to keep coming back because I simply wasn't going to pay while I was still eating.

The funny thing was, it was pouring down rain, the place was over half empty and there was no one waiting.

I've never felt rushed anywhere, except at the 11:30am seating at Chef Mickey's. At that point, I think they really just want everyone to leave. But even then the servers and characters were great...it was the fact that they started taking all the food away that was the problem.

Just like any other restaurant at home, it just depends on your waiter. I can't think of a time when we felt rushed, but I usually don't pay much attention to it anyways because I ignore their pressure ;)
