How Long at MCO?

Can anyone tell me how long it took them to get to the gate area once they entered the terminal. I am trying to determine how much time to allocate on my return trip back home to leave for the terminal security. My flight is leaving around 3 pm on a Sunday. I hearing in some cases it is as long as 2+ hours to just get through security. Is it really that long???

Yes, it can be. Disney's Magical Express uses a 3 hour pickup time to get folks to the airport. I would use that as a gage.

Sunday afternoons can be really busy too. It is hard to guage in advance you could be at the gate within 30 minutes, but then again it could be 90.

It is probably like taking an umbrella on a cloudy day....if you have it with you there will be no rain, if you don't it will pour....if you allow 30 minutes it will take you an hour to get through security and your tram will break down to boot, if you arrive 2.5 hours before departure you will be sitting at the gate in 15 minutes!!!!

Before I got my clear card I have had waits ranging from zero to 90 minutes... Plan for the worst and be happy if you don't need all that time. (Sunday afternoon and Monday mornings seem to be VERY bad there IMHO)

My longest security wait was about 20 minutes, usually only 10 or so. We generally fly out on Fridays. However, on my own schedule, I try to arrive about 1:45 before flight departure. I often find longer lines for baggage check-in than for security (Southwest).

Since 9/11 I always am at any airport 2 hours prior to flight time. Very often I do not need that much, but as said, I often carry a dry umbrella also. Every so often I am very happy to have been there 2 hours prior.

It all depends on security traffic, baggage check, and ticketing. As mentioned before it can be 15-20 min or 60-90 min or even longer.
