How long are the popular shows at the theme parks?

Specifically I am curious about these shows:

Festival of the Lion King at AK
Finding Nemo the Musical at AK
Mickey's Philharmagic at MK
Muppet Vision 3D at DHS

How long are they? I am so concerned because of potty breaks for DS3. I know it is better to get to the show very early (like 20-30 min before showtime) for the first show of the day, but DS3 may need the potty. I suppose I could take him right before getting in line, but even then of course with a 3-yr-old there is no guarantee he will not have to go again before showtime, especially since I am going to make sure he drinks plenty in the July heat.

We went to the aquarium and saw a sea lion show a few weeks ago, and DS3 had to use the potty about 2 min. before showtime. I am worried about this happening at the parks. I am assuming they would not let us back in after leaving to use the bathroom. Help...what do I do?

The shows typically last about 20-30 min. Finding Nemo is a little longer about 35 min. However, there is a bathroom right outside of the show, and it is easy to get in and out of the theater. In fact, we got to that show about 20min prior to showtime, and I took my nephew to the bathroom and came back and met my family who stayed in their seats and saved ours with no problems. FoTLK also has bathrooms right outside. Although it is harder to get in and out during that show, as the stage is the floor in front of you. It is possible or it used to be (a roommate CP worked that show), but a CM typically guides you in and out due to the performers being right in front of you. At most of the shows, you can go in and out without much trouble.

Philharmagic and Muppets might be a little difficult because they are set up and run more like a ride as they run continously instead of at set times.

Okay, the fact that Philharmagic and Muppets run continuously makes me feel a little better, but still, would hate to have to wait in line again b/c of a potty break!

What about the following shows:

-Playhouse Disney Live @DHS?
-Beauty and the Beast Live at DHS?

If I think of any more I will post them. I am guessing Playhouse Disney should not be too much of a problem because we plan to hit the first show, since we will be in the park at 8AM for the chatacter breakfast (non-EMH morning).

Here's a handy page from the wdwinfo.com part of the DIS site. It lists the length of different attractions at all the parks.
As was already posted, you can leave some of the longer shows once it has started if you need to (contact a CM for instructions on how to leave). There are a few very long shows that you can't leave until the show is over because of the way the ride car/theater is constructed. This is a list of attractions you can't leave once they have begun (I only included attractions that are over 10 minutes):
  • Magic Kingdom
  • Carousel of Progress: 20 minutes 45 seconds - this is in a rotating theater, where they theater rotates around different stages. You can't leave until it is over.
  • Liberty Square Riverboat: 12 minutes 45 seconds
  • Splash Mountain: 11 minutes
  • Stitch's Great Escape: 15 minutes
  • Swiss Family Treehouse: 13 minutes 5 seconds
  • Tomorrowland Transit Authority: 10 minutes 4 seconds
  • Walt Disney Railroad: 20 minutes - this is for a round trip, you can leave at one of the other stations.
  • Epcot
  • Ellen's Energy Adventure: 45 minutes
  • Living with the Land: 13 minutes 50 seconds
  • Maelstrom: 9 minutes 57 seconds
  • Spaceship Earth: 13 minutes 26 seconds
  • Studios
  • Backlot Tour: 35 minutes; the tour lasts 35 minutes. It includes a water special effects show and a tram ride part. There is a bathroom in the area between the 2 parts of the show. Once you are on the tram, there is approximately a 10-12 minute tram tour where you can't get out until the ride is over.
  • Sounds Dangerous: 12 minutes - This is a theater show and you could leave before it is over; much of the show takes place in a pitch dark theater, so getting out may be a bit more difficult.
  • Great Movie Ride: 18 minutes 44 seconds
  • Animal Kingdom
  • Kilimanjaro Safari: 18 minutes 30 seconds

The other longer shows are in theaters where you can leave if you need to. In many cases, you will not be exiting in the same place where you entered. Also, a restroom may be a few minutes walk away, so keep your park maps handy.
You can't leave any of the rides where you actually are in a ride vehicle, but most of those are short.

You can leave any of those shows, although you may not get back in.
For sure, you won't get back in for Philharmagic and Muppets because they are relatively short for someone to get out, go to the bathroom and get back in again. Besides that, the theater set up is for 'loading' groups of people, as another poster mentioned "they run more like rides." Most of the theater shows are like that.

Beauty and the Beast is longer and if you tell a CM that you are leaving, you might be able to get back in, depending on how much of the show is left.
Playhouse Disney is in a building that used to be a restaurant. With all the small children in the show, they may have some 'arrangements' for potty breaks, although the show is not that long for someone to go on a potty break and return.

Since you are talking about the shows, I am just wondering if anyone know where I can find the show schedule at each park? It's gonna be our first trip at WDW and I would like to plan our time ahead of time. I don't mean to plan the exact schedule, but if I know when and where so at least I can plan my dining/nap/transportation time accordingly. I hope you understand what I mean :-)
