Anyone know how long Christmas decorations stay up - once it's past the actual holiday? Thanks!

They start coming down the first week of January but it takes a while for them all to be gone.

By mid January, most of the "World" is looking "normal" again.

They were totally gone this year on the 11th or 12th. :)

The music plays, too.

So, if you went from like January 1st through like January 6th, you should still be able to see the decorations for the most part you think? Thanks for the reply so far :)

There must be 100,000 or so individual "decorations" if you count all the parks, the resorts, Boardwalk, and DTD.

Asking if you will be able to see "them" Jan. 1st thru 6th...

I'd say you will still be able to see "a lot of them", "some of them", " a few of them"... as the week progressed.

Too me, this is part of the 'Lost Magik" of Disney.

In years past, there was no evidence of Christmas beyond the Christmas Shop in DTD. You would go to the park on Thanks Giving...go to bed....And when you went to the park Friday Morning, it puked Christmas (in a nice way) all over Disney World. It was an almost overnight transformation.

Same thing on the removal...If you were at the park for January 1st, they would still have decorations up. But January 2nd, they were almost all the way gone.

Like magic.

That was not such a stretch when there was only MK alone, or just MK and Epcot and a few resorts.

But, now there are so MANY things to put up and take down at so many places.
