How long after final payment do docs come?

You'd think I'd know this, as this is my 3rd trip in a year... but I don't. I paid in full last month, and my final confirmation & luggage tag package hasn't arrived yet. We have 2 reservations and neither of our docs have arrived. I can't remember how long after final payment/before departure they are supposed to come. Should I be getting worried? The other parties (ok my parents) ME docs came today, mine didn't. For my last 2 trips, the final confirmation/luggage tags/travel documents came before the ME packet.

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller??

Seems like the trend lately has been between 30 and 40 days. We'll see when we get ours...we paid in full last week and we hit the 45 day mark on Thursday.

Do you mean 30-40 days before the vacation starts? I'm just over a month out and starting to freak out! I mean, when I first booked, I got four, count 'em FOUR, Disney envelopes in the mailbox in one day. And since I paid up.... nothin'. Nada. Zilch. Zip.

I am in the same boat. I made final payment about 2 weeks ago. Now, with 38 days to go, I am getting a little anxious. This will be the first time that we use the Magical Express. Oh, and I have gotten about 6 of those blue Disney envelopes too. In fact I got one about 3 days after I made final payment. I am hoping that isn't my final package because it did not include the nifty luggage tags or Planet Hollywood voucher.

Fear not -- right after we booked (in May, we also paid off the trip about a week later) we recieved all the initial packets. Then about 2 weeks ago we recieved the ME tags. Just today, with 28 days to go, we finally got the luggage tags and vouchers! Seems like things are coming in a strange order, but everything did finally arrive!

We are down to 31 days and have recieved nothing.When we went in January I had them 45 days before!

We leave in 29 days and still have not recieved our final packet. I called last week and they said that it went out last monday, called last night to check on it and they said to give it up to 10 business days to arrive. I was told to call on Friday if they don't arrive. WE paid off our package back in May also and we have had our ME stuff for weeks now.

I scheduled through Small World TA and my TA told me that the tickets, etc. should arrive 14 - 10 days prior to check-in. I had my package paid in full in March and I still haven't received anything that's what prompted me to e-mail her and inquire.

I paid off beginning of July my trip is in a month and I am also worrying.. For the first month and a half I was getting envelopes a couple times a week! Now nothing.. I checked on line and its showing paid off, hopefully I will get it by the end of next week at the latest, I dont remember our past trips having to wait this long for the documents..

Yup, I meant 30-40 days before vacation starts (sorry, I should have been more clear with that!!). Now don't hold it down to the day...some people have been getting them closer to their vacation, some have been getting them even 2 months before their vacation. I'm just responding with what I've been seeing from the people who've posted on Dis lately.

When we booked, we got 3 envelopes...then any time I changed our ressie (which was 2 times), we got two more envelopes. We paid off last week and now we're just waiting for docs & ME. We're at the 46 day point, so we'll see what day we end up at when we get our docs.

We received our Magical Express packet about 44/45 days before our vacation, and we received the documentation about 30 days before hand, so now I take it out and look at it and wish the days would go a bit faster...

I called to Disney twice, they told me I will only get a confirmation envelope and the ME tags, nothing more. They told me I will get it at check-in. Now, maybe that's because I'm not in the US so they won't send me anything , but I'm still waiting also with 44 days to go...

Well at least I'm not the only one! Thanks to everyone who responded, you really helped set my mind at ease. So that's taken care of, I'm happy with my ADR's... what can I worry about next??

I read another thread that was a few miles long about this topic and it seems that the "date" we get our stuff is 30 days out from the booked date, in other words 30 days before you leave the house WDW bound! I've got another 30 days before the last 30 days then I'll start postin' "when am I gonna get my stuff!?!"

We leave exactly one month from today ! I received the ME tags a while ago, but no package with luggage tags yet. I figure I'll give it another week before I start to really worry. Besides, all the info's in their computer system so I don't think it's that big of a deal. Last year we took ME without any paperwork/tags because they forgot to send it and we had no problems at all.

Now, I've never booked an actual "package" through Disney before, only "room only", so don't laugh at me. Should I be looking for something in the mail? We got our ME tags in the mail a few days ago, should I be getting something else as well? TIA.

Yes, they send these fancy schmancy holographic luggage ID tags, I think you get one per person on the reservation? They come with all your other final documents, and are in no way related to the yellow Magical Express tags. They are simply nice ID tags. I already have a set, so I plan on using one on DD's school backpack. IF they ever come!!
