how long a drive to WL?

How long is it to WL? We want to hit Whispering Canyon cafe for dinner one night and don't want to transfer busses, etc.

Anyone done it?

Um...where are you coming from to go to Whispering canyon cafe. Whispering canyon cafe is in Wilderness Lodge so if you're going there from the campground you could take the boat over which would probably be the easiest or walk on the nature trail between WL and FW. I hope that helps...not sure if that answered your question or not.

Yikes, I must be tired. What I meant was:

We are staying at Ft Wilderness cabin and want to drive to Wilderness lodge rather than transfer busses to boat, etc. Since it is so close, is it easy to drive to?

Yes, it is close to drive to - it would probably be quicker too. Enjoy!

The fastest way is still a bus or boat it is a long drive becouse you have to go out the front gate and around to the Wilderness lodge you can't go thought the campground. Just take one bus from loop and the next bus to Wilderness lodge it doesn;t take long.

We stayed at WL and we always had to go to FW on the bus to pick up others before the bus headed out to our destination. I'd say it is about a 5 minute drive. They are fairly close together. I think the nature trail linking the 2 is about 1 mile. I'd still take the boat over. It is a pleasant trip and fun!!

I think the boat would be fun too! They run frequently, as do the internal busses. You'd have to take 1 bus to the marina/settlement area, and then walk to the boat. It shouldn't take a long time and will be a nice trip.

I don't know why you would want to drive to WL. Part of the attraction of staying on-site is not having to drive your car!! LOL!!!

You just have a short bus ride to the Settlement and then a lovely ferry ride directly to WL.

What a lovely way to set the mood for dining at WL!

Just drove from WL to FW the other day while we were checking out some of the other resorts on our vacation and the drive by vehicle is only about 5 minutes. It's not far.
