How likely would this be (V&A Chef's Table)

FH and I are going on our honeymoon in October and as part of our wedding gift my mom's said she would pay for us to dine at the Chef's Table at V&A. I called to make reservations for the chef's table for October 18th but it wasn't available. How likely would it be for someone to cancel? Should we just choose a later date for when we come back from our cruise? Any incite would be most welcome!

Thanks!

Cancellations tend to be unusual for CT.

However, if you get an early seating you can receive the same menu as the CT has for that day and it is served in the main dining room. Additionally, it must be ordered in advance.

Just want to mention, also, that while the meal at the chef's table is amazing, I don't think it's nearly as romantic as the regular restaurant. It's brightly lit, and right next to a busy, working kitchen. If you could get the chef's table meal in the regular room, you might actually be getting the best of both worlds!

I'm pretty sure V&A have a waiting list for the CT - you should call and ask to have your name added if you really have your heart set on it.

You won't go wrong in the dining room, though. It is a very romantic setting.
