How likely will it be that we don't get our date?

I love the idea of a disney wedding but I hate not being able to book it up straight away. We have chosen the 12th Sept 2011 and are hoping to leave the UK on the 8th and stay at Disney until the 22nd. On the 22nd we hope to hop on the Disney Dream for a 3 night cruise.

I really want to book the cruise as its really cheap at the moment and think that in 9-12 months time it might not be.

So I'm wondering how likely will we not get our wedding date as I would hate to have to change our plans completely

If you're flexible with times and locations then you'll be fine.

If you're not, then it's a little different, but because September 12th isn't a "sepcial" date, like Valentines or Sept 10th 2011 (09/10/11) it shouldn't be too popular a date.

Usually September is a low crowd month and not peak wedding season. I'd say if you are ok with not getting your first choice location then it's likely you'll get the date at least.

If your there for a couple of weeks - you won't have a problem. Our coordinator said the only venue that books up fully for the day is the wedding pavillion (unless you pick a special day like Valentines Day etc).

I've heard most intimate weddings get their first choice unless it's a date like, 7-7-07, 8-08-08 and 9-9-09, or even 8-9-10 and Valentines Day etc. I don't think you'll have a problem.

I booked for 08.09.10 and had no problems getting my date even though it's a "special" date... it is in the full heat of August at an outdoor location (becaue I love the look of the WG @ YC) so that might be why even this popular date had availability.
