How likely? November 2009 Free Dining

How likely do you think free dining would be offered in 2009?

It's hard to gauge right now, because we have no basis for comparison. November 2008 was the first time Free Dining had been offered outside of the regular season.

I would guess that they likely will offer it so long as the economy doesn't make a major recovery. It's offered to fill up resorts and the parks, and with the economy what it is, discretionary and vacation spending is being drastically reduced from many families budgets.

When did they announce the november free dining for 2008? We just got back from an extended family trip (my mom and dad and brother and sister-in law and all the kids). It was of course busy and with that many people we just didn't get to do everything that we as a smaller family love to do - parades, fireworks, dining plan, etc. We took advantage of 2007's fall free dining but the weather was still a bit hot for our liking. We just don't want to miss out on the fall offering waiting on a november offering that doesn't happen. Any suggestions or opinions?

I believe free dining for dates in OCt,Nov ,Dec announcement started sometime in late summer.Because it was not for the general public.It started first as a pincode postcard promotion to only a few selct people, than not too long after Disney Visa members were offered a similar promotion.We really have no idea whether or not disney will (and when) they may offer it again for dates other than the traditional free dining in Aug and Sept.

awesome - thanks for the reply. So.....I'm guessing our best best would still be September even though it's still fairly hot... Just can't turn down all the money we save with free dining and value season prices going together.

We had received e-mails about the free dining for Oct. Nov and Dec 08 but we had just returned from the free dining in Sept. and were not planing on going till next year. I think but don't remember for sure getting the e-mails sometime in late Sept. or Oct.
If the economy stays bad I'm sure Disney will have many different packages of free dining or buy 4 days get one free to getting people to the MK.
I'm not sure why we got this e-mail maybe because we have the Visa rewards card or maybe because we have been to the MK many time over the last 12 years.
