How late is too late to recieve a package?

I don't care how late they deliver as long as I get my stuff. Actually, I like when they come in the evenings when I am home rather than leaving it on my porch all day for anyone to take.

OT, but I was expecting an order of coffee for my Keurig that I was excited about because I wanted to try some new coffees. Was supposed to be delivered yesterday to me in Pennsylvania. Shipment originated in Tennessee. Well, my coffee never showed up so I checked the tracking and it is in ARIZONA and not due now until next Tuesday. Needless to say I am ticked with Fed Ex!!!!!! I'd accept a package at any time night or day if it was my coffee:lmao:

Around here, UPS and the regular post office delivers from 8 am until 9 pm. That works for me.:thumbsup2

I've gotten UPS packages as late as midnight during the holidays. They left it in my driveway in front of the garage door. I heard the truck and saw my light go on. I was just happy to get the package since it had been misrouted 4 times.

Well, I can see with robbers dressing up as phony UPS men trying to gain access into a house, it would be good to know what time they actually stop delivering. :scared1:

But, I would think after 9 pm would be too late.
Well, when I complained a couple of years ago - I was told the driver could deliver to residential addresses as late as 11:59 PM!

After 10PM would be too late for me and before 8 AM too early

Never worry about "too early". UPS (thinking mnrose can back this up) and FedEx start working/delivering at 8 AM. UPS delivers/picks up at businesses first, during the day when they're open. They tend* to do residential deliveries after 5, when occupants are more likely to be home, to reduce the need for redeliveries.

By the way, is everyone aware that if you don't make alternate arrangements by the third day (aka third delivery attempt), UPS now sends the package back to the shipper that night?

*not always, but often

That is why when I order something online, I see if I can specify to 'leave without signature" in the shipping section.

We get all of our UPS deliveries after 7 pm. Our street must be one of the last ones on his regular route. I don't have a problem with it (not really sure why someone would), plus he's a nice guy and actually I feel sorry he is working so late every day.

I think they deliver as late as 9:00 pm here and I'm not sure about how early they start but my UPS guy just puts it on the front porch and sometimes I never know they are there until I stumble upon it.

Think though, that if these were in the summer, it would be daylight and that'd be perfectly acceptable times.

The only time UPS has rung the bell has been when it's an expensive item that needs to be signed for. Otherwise it is just left and I often don't even know it has come until I see it or see that it was delivered via online routing.
