How late do you eat dinner at The World?

I dont like to eat dinner too early since i do normally go to bed pretty late, (I also do rope drop, i dont sleep much at disney!). My ideal time for dinner is 730-8pm. I have a late breakfast and a late lunch...so it all works out.

There have been times where i've had to have my dinner early due to touring plans such as watching fantasmic etc. In this case I will most likely need a snack before bed. I love snacking so im not complaining. :)

EDIT: ooops, typos!

It's probably because of my age but I just can't do later dinners anymore, I end up with terrible heart burn. In fact I start taking the two week daily heart burn treatment pills a few days before we leave for our WDW trip because all the rich foods give me a lot of trouble now. We usually eat between 5:00-6:00.

When the little guys are along I usually can't push dinner any later than 7 but I enjoy later meals when my dining companions are a little older, especially if a park has evening EMH. (We're not usually early risers.)

Basically it all depends on what we're doing on any given day.

I like later when it's an adults-only trip, but definitely earlier than 7 when I'm with kids. I've never done a late-night dinner in the parks, however - so if you're reservation is at 8:30, but the park closes at 9 . . . .do you leave to an empty park??

If I go with my adult nephew we eat dinner pretty late. Eight or nine pm is pretty normal. We like to time it so we get dinner in and have a little time left to get a spot for fireworks. Eating late we are not trying to do a lot of walking around the park on full stomachs.

And we also have been known to hit the California Grill and have dinner while watching the fireworks. Love doing that!

I do not like to eat a meal late. If I have an ADR for dinner it is usually 630 or 700 at the latest. We tend to do ADR's for a late lunch - say 2 or 3and then grab more of a snack later that night. I have a reservation for 920 this upcoming trip and I am pretty sure I will end up cancelling it!

We only do TS dinners and we aim for 5:30-6:30.:)

Thanks all! I will try to see if 7:30 works for her. I think it will, she's pretty easy going!

Park schedule and events help dictate my meal times. When traveling with my mom, 8/8:30pm seems to be the latest we will push dinner (SOA, HDDR, meals in conjunction with IllumiNations and Wishes, etc).

When I go park commando style with my sister or friends, we have more flexibility. I have a March trip coming up where all parks pretty much close around 8pm. I do not want to waste precious park time with a 90 min ADR. I have a night in HS with 3 FP+, 8pm Star Wars fireworks, and then will walk it to Epcot WS with EMH and have a 9:30pm dinner in France.

I also have an open night where I think I may have "dinner" at 4:30pm the latest if RoL ever happens and a dining package comes out. This will then be a late breakfast, early dinner night. Not holding my breath because it was supposed to have been open for my May 2016 trip, so if that falls through (again) I will default to my 8pm 'Ohana. I have contingency plans for whatever schedule changes Disney likes to release 8-)

7:30pm seems like a fair compromise. Depending on when you arrive and waits, you may not even be eating until 8pm anyway.

1) Good for her.
2) We like to eat 5:00-6:00.
3) We do not change because it is a vacation (or a cruise).

Lol, I don't know if its good for the people in your travel party to decree anything. I'd revolt the other way for instance:) Of course, over the years there are some friends I no longer choose to travel with - styles are too different and we love each other just as much when we get home that way...lol.

If I was doing a heavy ADR meal, definitely by 6pm...if I'm having a dinner meal back at my offsite resort (fruit smoothie and BLT is a go-to), then it's a heavy snack at 5pm (ice cream, dole whip, pastry, etc) and a meal at 9pm (flipping dinner and dessert with a heavier dessert and lighter dinner). I don't eat heavy after 7pm...

We prefer eating later - 830 at the earliest. I hate to waste that cooler early evening time in a restaurant during fall and spring, and we can have a cocktail and walk around world showcase before dinner, since we usually stay at bwv

I agree that everyone is different, so try and find a happy medium!

My DD and I do almost no sit down meals, but we do have a 7:30pm once for Rose & Crown this coming trip, as well as a 5:00 one at 50's Prime Time.

We usually eat early, but there have been times that we get back to the resort late and get a pizza. Usually once a trip we eat something late, but most times we prefer to beat the rush and eat by 5:00, then have a snack later on in the room or on the go. It's really all over the board, depending on how we feel that day! That's why we don't like being tied to too many ADR's (we have 3 next trip, and odds are we'll keep 2 of them).

We like to eat late as well- that way we are eating during an off time and riding when everyone else is at dinner. However we are pretty flexible eaters- getting a reservation at the place I want for the meal I want is most important to me, so if I REALLY need to I'll eat at a more "standard" time.

Depends on whether it is TS or QS. I always try to make late TS reservations at places I know I can watch the fireworks at right after (or during) without a crazy crowd (Ohana/California Grill). If I'm doing QS, it's usually a bit earlier, around 6-7pm.

When I go with my sister, she makes a late (8-8:30 pm). I usually eat supper around 5 pmish at home. She--and I tend to agree--doesn't like to tour the park with a full stomach. When we don't have a table service we just wing it and get something whenever we feel like it.

We tend to keep the same dinner schedule as we do at home...about 5:30. DD6 is usually starving and begging for food around that time.

Our ADRs are anywhere from 630-845. It really depends on park/nighttime show hours and wanting to experience certain things.
