how late can you cancel dining reservations without a fee?

We have two reservations at Carthay circle for WOC on two subsequent days on our next trip. I am not sure which one we will keep. How late can we cancel and avoid a fee?

When you book the reservation it says "You must cancel at least one day prior to your reservation to avoid a per person cancellation fee. If you fail to cancel or are a no show, the credit card provided at the time of reservation will be charged $10.00 per person." I've asked several different CMs what "one day prior" means and I've gotten a range of answers. The most common answer is that you must cancel it the day before the reservation (e.g., if the reservation is on Tuesday, you must cancel it on Monday). Others have said you must cancel 24-hours before the reservation (so if the reservation is at 10:00 am on Tuesday, you must cancel by 10:00 am on Monday).

Same as above it is grey but best bet is assume 24 hours.

I had to cancel once the day of in November because my niece got really sick and we had to go back to the hotel. They did it for me since she was very sick, but the lady did say that normally it is 24 hours from the time of your reservation. I was very grateful she let me cancel. We ended up spending two days in the hotel with a very sick kid

Although the term "one day" is rather ambiguous - I would consider that to mean 24 hours. It does not say you must cancel "the day prior to your reservation", but "at least one day prior to", which would indicate 24 hours notice is required.
