How late can you book

How late can you book a cruise? And how would check in and luggage tags work? Thanks

If it's less than 3 days prior to embarkation, you have to call since it won't be available online. But I believe you can book up until the day prior. Presumably you'd still get an email confirmation that should get you into the terminal. Luggage tags are available curbside with the porters. You might need to do the rest of the check-in stuff/paperwork at the terminal since you won't have access to online check-in.

We booked the night before. We were scheduled to fly to Paris the day of the major terroist attacks in Nov 2015. We still had the week off so called our travel agent and she got us on the fantasy the next day. She did say that sometimes it isn’t possible to that last minute.
