How late can you be for an ADR?

I have an ADR for Kona for April 1 at 6:40. I wanted 7:15 or so since MK is closing at 7:00 for the PPP possibly. Other than 6:40, they only had 8:10. So anyway if I try to make it but get stuck in the masses leaving, will we be stuck if we are late? Would I need to call if we saw that we were going to not make it in time? What would you do? Thanks!

I'd leave the park by 6 for a 6:40 ADR just to give yourself some padding. I've been about 20 minutes late before, thanks to over napping! We still got in fine.

I've cut it close with my ADR times, and I do not think that they would tell you that you were out of luck, but be aware that Kona is very popular, the seating area is not that large and it always seems to be packed. If you got there too late, if they did seat you I would expect a very long wait.

There have been many posts out here that anything over 15 minutes, you should not count on being able to get in. They cancel at 15 minutes and depending on how busy they are, will not be able to accommodate you as now you would be delaying other diners, who arrived on time, from being seated which is not fair.

Guest services called ahead to the restaurant once when we were about 30 minutes late..(tied up by them) and the bus driver (another hold-up) called ahead to alert another park we were on our way to an ADR..If you are more then 20 minutes late have a CM contact them.
