Hiya,
I was reading on the Disneyland California forum that the CMs there are very lenient if you return late for your fastpass slot. As long as its for the same day, you can be several hours late, and they have been told to allow it.
How late can you be at DLRP for fastpass rides? Has anyone been refused as they were too late?:)

I don't think they are that relaxed at DLRP - as it tends to mess up the fastpass system. I have found that there are only couple of rides that need fastpass - Big Thunder Mountain being the main one. I have never even seen the fastpass machines switch on at WDS!

Yes I have seen them be quite strict about return times - we managed to use one of ours a couple of minutes late, but we saw people being turned away (I think they were about half an hour late?). Also be aware that the return window is only 30 minutes, rather than the 1 hour time slot you get in the US parks.

Hi,

I'd agree, quite strict at DLRP stopping you if early although if in a group and you have some who are in a different 5 minute period we have been allowed in together at the earlier time. Never been late so wouldn't know about that! And yes, take note about the 30 minute window.

Yes they are quite strict about return times at DLRP even though at WDW and DL they are very relaxed about this.

On BTM we were once cutting it very fine to our Fastpass time running out and the CM told us we would have to wait as it wasn't out time yet!! We re checked the ticket and yep it was now past the time but he still wouldn't let us on!! Eventually he let us on about 15 mins later saying Now you can come through!!!

We were late once at BTM by half an hour as I got caught short in the ladies and we were prepared for them to turn us away but they just waved us through!!

I tinhk it depends on what CM is on and whether you have a beaming smile for them and a Bonjour as you wave your fastpass!!:)

Also when we did arrive a few minutes late I made sure my daughter had the fastpasses in her hand (she usually does anyway :) ) - working on the assumption that they might be less likely to turn a child away than an adult?! :confused3

My thoughts exactly, I'd have done the same! Great minds thinking alike there!

I think it often does depend on the CM ....... and how profusely you apologise! We've only been late once due to our own fault, usually it's because the ride has broken down. The time it was our own fault we were only about 5 minutes late and the CM was fine and just let us through. Mind you, even though everyone says WDW is more lenient I have seen a CM there turn people away because they had missed their timeslot.

when we went in jan, we found that the fast pass machines in the studios where not open, actually come to think of it, they werent really open in the main park!
anyway, we had a fastpass for the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster and was able to use it 30 mins after it had expired, they seemed ok about it all, and this was during the busy spells, hopefully you will have no problems if you are a little late for the time advertised for whatever reason.
