How Late Can I Add the Dining Plan?

We are first time Dvc members going to Disney this July. Can I add the dining plan a week before? I heard somethiong about a fee. Also, can I buy tickets there, or should we add them before we go? Thanks!

You have to add it at least 72 hours ahead of the trip, and you must pay for it when you reserve it.

You can't add tickets through Member Services, like a Disney package. You can purchase tickets when you get there, either at the resort or the parks. But many purchase tickets in advance from a discounted reseller (Undercover Tourist most frequently recommended here, with an additional discount you can get by subscribing to Mousesavers monthly newsletter).

MS told me last week you have 48 hours before to add dining plan.

The dining plan can be added through MS up to 48 hours before your trip. You will have to pay for it when you add.

As far as tickets, you can get them at any of the guest relations windows at the parks or get them ahead of time.
