How large are the pizzas at Via Napoli

On the one hand I just cannot imagine paying $18 for a personal pizza, but on the other hand if it was any other entree we wouldn't think twice about $18 per person, so I am torn. It might be hopeful to know how large they are.

I'm guessing the personal size is 10" in diameter. I ordered just the pizza and a drink, and had a couple slice of the free bread they bring. It was plenty for one person as a meal.

The pizza is excellent and completely worth the $18, which, as you pointed out, is what you'd be spending on most entrees around Disney anyway.

Here's a photo. There's not much to compare the size with, but that is a pretty standard drinking glass in the top right.

I was only able to eat half of mine. My friend wasn't even able to finish her 2nd piece. Neither of us had any appetizers. I thought the individual pizzas were way too big.

I go to VN a lot, and love the pizza.
For two people we get an individual plus an appetizer to share, or the overpriced salad.

Its "just right" for us with the app, however I have absolutely no problem eating an entire one of these on my own, especially the thin crust flatbreads.

If you are on the DDP 2 people can not share the individual pizza, each must order their own.
I had an individual and it was 4 good size slices. I did not finish it all. It was delicious!!! The crust is extremely thin, so you do not fill up on crust so much. I think it is worth it.
I took my leftover pizza and had it for breakfast the next morning :yay:

It looks good, but it looks like they scrimped a little on the amount of cheese and sauce. I wonder if the four cheese has more cheese on it.

For our family of four we order three different style pizzas and all share.

Plenty and the cost 54 + drinks and tip is great for dinner in disney.

As for the taste, this pizza is one of the best we have ever had. We are a big pizza family with big eaters.

I don't care what it costs and I hope for leftovers....the best DAMN PIZZA I EVER HAD. and being from Jersey, that's hard to do! My wife who is Scillian said it reminded her of the Pizza she would get with her grand mother during the summers back home:thumbsup2

That is what a traditional margherita pizza looks like. I grew up in Italy, moved to the US in '99, I have to say Via Napoli has the "closest to the real thing" tasting pizza you'll find.

The 4 cheese will have more cheese on it, but if you're expecting a typical american pizza topped with loads of processed cheese and canned tomato sauce, this is very far from it.

Looking forward to my Feb trip, have ADRs for Via Napoli!! :goodvibes

It does not. I had the 4 cheese one. These pizzas are very similar to what we had in Italy as opposed to American pizza. They showcase the dough, not the toppings.

Wish DIS had a "like" button. I find myself wanting to click "like" more often than not. :)

We ate at Via Napoli in October for the second time and loved it again. It is by far the best pizza we have ever had. We had half pepperoni and half sausage.

I am going to VN in June and I cant wait. I haven't been to WDW since 2008 and I am really looking forward to trying this pizza, it makes my mouth water every time I see a picture of it. :lovestruc

Looking at the pictures I agree it doesn't look like a lot of cheese for the pizza, but I think the flavor of the cheese manages to make up for the "lack of" cheese. I didn't find myself wanting more cheese on the pizza and I loved how much sauce they put on the pizza. Not too much, not too little. It is not the thick "paste" sauce that some pizza places use. This is just a really tasty tomato sauce.

My husband and I had tried wood fired pizza before and we were not overly impressed so when my husband said he wanted to try Via Napoli, I wasn't excited. However! It was some of the best pizza we have had in a long time. The personal pizzas were extremely large. My husband and 16 year old son both finished theirs and luckily I was sharing my pizza with one of our daughters otherwise I would not have been able to finish it! A slice and a half into my pizza and I was done!

Where is the cheese? Good question. The general answer is that "this is how they do it in Italy" ...

What you are really looking at is an $18 piece of bread. :) :)

We always split a personal pizza and maybe an app or salad. That leaves room for dessert!!!!!!!!!!!!! Zepolli can not be missed!

Just echoing, the light cheese is how they do it in Naples Italy, at least for a traditional margherita pizza. It's very good.

This is true however if there's two of you only, you can share one large pizza on DDP. They did this for us in September, and I think a large pizza may be a better value as it serves 2-3 people. My BF had 3 slices, I had 2 and there were 2 left. However, if you have 3 or more in your group, you can't share a large on DP.

What you are really looking at is an $18 piece of bread. :) :)

Bread made in a wood burning oven with Caputo flour imported from Naples, San Marzano tomatoes, handmade fior di latte mozzarella, and water from their own wells identical to the water found in Naples.
