How is your Pizza Hut?

As far as the big chains go, PH is probably the best around here. That is, until recently. The last two pizzas I've had delivered haven't had much cheese or sauce on them. They also seem like they have been cooked and kept warm for a while before they were delivered(kinda dry). I know not to expect truly great pizza from PH, but they used to do better than this. Anybody having similar results? :confused3

Ours is discusting. It used to be nice when I was a kid, but now it's run down, dirty inside & out and we just don't go anymore. I used to love PH pizza, especially the next day, it always tasted great. I wish ours would improve or just close. I live in a touristy town so most of our restaurants are specialty ones catering towards the tourist. Pizza Hut is the only "chain" restaurant we have, and really the only family restaurant. I wish it were better!

They have chain pizza restaurants!?

Just kidding... but they are very gross... would rather go to a good ma and pop's NY pizzeria...

The one closest to our house isnt very good. We drive an extra 10 minutes to get to the good one. They dont deliver to us - its too far.

Thanks for the invite Dan. I KNOW you know where to get some great 'Za :)

It was the only pizza place in my hometown until recently - we've moved up. Now we have a Pizza Inn! :P

DH actually hates the red roof (PH). Claims it's way too greasy. When it comes to chains, I'll take Dominoes or Papa Johns any day over PH! :)

Thank God for New York pizza and thank God mine delivers! I can't eat Pizza Hut or Dominos. It's just not real pizza to me, and the so called pizza at WDW makes me cry!

Ours used to be good. But it's only a take out/delivery place now and they are definitely skimping on sauce, cheese AND toppings! DS likes sausage and onion. Last one we got, it had about 1/2 the toppings we usually get. We have started ordering from Papa John's.

Come to our next Chicago DIS meet. :cool1:
OK Dan, I've been meaning to ask you, where do you go for your meets? Is it Gino's? I'm meeting girlfriends in Chi-town in August and I want to go to the best place for pizza (downtown location).

Back to the OP, yes our pizza hut is very good. I have had a couple of bad pizzas from them, but mostly they are very good. their cheese breadsticks!

We actualy have one not to far from our house but I can't eat that fake pizza chain junk..papa johns, pizza hut, dominos..all GROSS...I have to have real NY pizza!

Our Pizza Hut has went down hill. If you have the pizza delivered, it's always cold. Plus they have a $1.00 delivery charge added on. Just where does that delivery charge go to?

Plus the prices for their food is getting outragous! We can order an XL pizza from a Mom N' Pop place that feeds all four of us, plus have some left over for less then a price of a large Pizza Hut pizza. Plus with a large from Pizza Hut is not near big enough for my family. Someone is always still hungry after it's all gone.

I would love to try a Papa John's pizza, but we don't have one near us. I really like Donatos, but have to go to the next town, 15 minutes away, to have one of their pizzas.

Our Pizza Hut recently underwent a makeover and now it's "Pizza Hut Italian Bistro" - it's supposed to be more upscale - if Pizza Hut CAN be upscale. ;)

All that's happened is exactly what Micca said. The pizza is dry and really not very good. You could always depend on Pizza Hut for a good pizza, albeit at a high price, but not anymore. We quit ordering from there.

Last vacation we were on, we walked out of three different Pizza Huts in different states....there was old pizza under the tables on the floor, they smelled like stale cheese, there were not enough employees...

I was not giving them any of my hard earned $$.

Pizza Hut always seems to be greasy. I try not to eat there. I find that the older I get the longer the list grows of places I cannot bear to eat: McDonalds; Pizza Hut; Burgere King; Taco Bell
