I've heard that there's the fine dining upstairs and the casual dining downstairs. We would be going for the casual dining. I read the menu on www.allearsnet.com, and it sounds good. But what are your thoughts on the restaurant, and what's good on the menu???

TIA!!!

I just read somewhere that the Levy chain took over operations at Wolfgang Pucks and quality has declined. I'd love to see some recent reviews.

WP Cafe has always been one of my favorite DTD restaurants, although I have not been there since early 2004. The first time we ate there, I thought our server was snooty, but we have had excellent and attentive service since that first visit. The interior of this restaurant is colorful, large with very high ceilings and is often busy. This can make for a loud atmosphere, so I wouldn't recommend it if you are looking for a quiet or romantic location. I love the pumpkin ravioli with brown butter and port wine glaze, the butternut squash soup, and the wood fire pizzas. There is a decent selection of wines by the glass. The dessert station is set up in the middle of the dining room, with all offerings in view under glass, and it is fun to watch them assemble the desserts (especially for kids). The dessert sampler is very good, as is their dessert fondue (rich chocolate sauce for dipping fresh strawberries, homemade marshmallows, brownie chunks and cinnamon cake). Our DS loves this place as much as my DH and I do, and he equally enjoys the kids and adults menu.

We went for about the 7th time in June and really liked what we ordered. The food's always fresh and served hot and the desserts are yummy!!!

We thinks it's good :D My favorite experience there was when I sat at the bar and had sushi and Japanese beer.:earsboy:

DH and DS were there in December and they enjoyed their meals very much. We've all been there several times and it's one of our favorites.

Our first trip there was 11/03 and we wondered why we've never gone before. Great waiter, and especially loved the plate of breads and flatbread that was brought to the table (very artistically arranged). I believe we had sandwiches and thought it was a great meal.
Second trip was 4/04 and another great waiter spent a lot of time explaining sushi ---- he even told he he'd give me another selection if I didn't like it (and he'd take it for his lunch). He tried to modify my chopsticks so they were easier to use, but I'm a 4 star klutz. Another great meal, but we weren't given the plate of breads ????

Do they still have spaghetti with red sauce? I saw the menu from 2003 and it was on it then. We're looking for pasta with red sauce somewhere in WDW. We have found it at Tony's in the MK, but no other place. We need to carbo load the two nights before the marathon.

DH and I love it here. There is really nice seating outside in the back, right on the water. I have always wanted to try the sushi here as it looks really, really good. DH usually gets the rotisserie BBQ chicken and I got an ahi tuna salad on our last visit that was very good. Their wood-fired pizzas are excellent too.

we had lunch there once and it was very good...! I ordered the spring rolls and a specialty salad and as we were waiting for the food to come I noticed the table next to me ws getting spring rolls and the serving was HUGE.

I quickly grabbed the waiter and asked if I could get a half order instead which was no problem... ther springrolls and salad were great and my daughter had chicken fingers and fries and she liked those too :D
