WP Cafe has always been one of my favorite DTD restaurants, although I have not been there since early 2004. The first time we ate there, I thought our server was snooty, but we have had excellent and attentive service since that first visit. The interior of this restaurant is colorful, large with very high ceilings and is often busy. This can make for a loud atmosphere, so I wouldn't recommend it if you are looking for a quiet or romantic location. I love the pumpkin ravioli with brown butter and port wine glaze, the butternut squash soup, and the wood fire pizzas. There is a decent selection of wines by the glass. The dessert station is set up in the middle of the dining room, with all offerings in view under glass, and it is fun to watch them assemble the desserts (especially for kids). The dessert sampler is very good, as is their dessert fondue (rich chocolate sauce for dipping fresh strawberries, homemade marshmallows, brownie chunks and cinnamon cake). Our DS loves this place as much as my DH and I do, and he equally enjoys the kids and adults menu.
