OMG! I might be going to Disney for my 40th birthday!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't think it was possible, but I just booked our rooms!

I turn 40 May 10th and all I really wanted for my birthday was to go back
to Disney and now I really might!

How is early May? How the crowds? Are schools out yet?
How is the Weather?

We would arrive Monday May 9th and leave Friday May 13th.

I can't believe I might be in the Magic Kingdom for my birthday!
(still have to iron out a few details to know for sure)

We are arriving this year May 11th-21st. Last year was the 12th-22nd. It was wonderful! Lovely weather (rained once for 2 hours and that's it!) and the schools weren't out yet. They got out the 21st last year, so it was definitely more crowded on the 22nd. This year, I think most of them get out the 20th, so you should be fine. I think the longest I waited for a ride was 15 minutes. However, remember that the celebration is kicking off on the 5th, but a CM said she didn't notice an increase in ressies than last year. We love going in May - perfect! ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

Congrats! My bday is May 17th, and we'll be in WDW May 11-16. :sunny:

I'm hoping it'll be nice weather, I know it's going to be hotter than we're used to (last two trips were March and Feb.) but hopefully it isn't brutal like it was on our honeymoon (last week of May 1998). I am expecting crowds for the beginning of the celebration, but hopefully since schools aren't out, that will keep it down...

See ya in the World! :wave2:

I'm so excited I can't think! LOL! We just went in December, I NEVER dreamed I would get back so soon! (I was getting pretty depressed about the big 4-0, but this a definite pick me up! LOL!)

Anyone know if there any big events early May? Flower Show, Grad Week, Big conventions or anything like that? Does Disney have that kind of thing listed on their website?

Events are listed here: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/events.htm#blue-events

I'm looking forward to the Flower and Garden Festival! (And of course the big Celebration starting on the 5th!!!) :teeth:
