How is Uber/Lyft from the parks?

Thanks to this insane inflation for the last 2 years, the hotels near the park entrance we usually use are waaayyyy to expensive. We landed a room at Portofino on the other side of the city block. We're used to Park Place at the crosswalk, and at worse HoJo. But this is a pretty long walk, especially for after the park day. I was wondering how good Uber was for picking up and if it would even be worth it. My first thought is that it isn't worth it. But by Day 3, my wife and 12yo girl will definitely be begging for a better way back to the hotel.

I've seen tons of people lining up in the Uber/Lyft area. They seem to all be waiting for the same thing, so that make me think it would take so long waiting for the ride that it wouldn't be worth it either.

But what do you guys think...

Ubered numerous times just down to Hyatt House at Harbor and Katella. Never had to wait more than five minutes, generally $8-10 plus a tip.

Saved these ole tired legs and feet many a night. Probably spent an extra $60 whole trip.

My latest trip I stayed at CCIand just scheduled leave times around the shuttle. Worked out perfect!

You might also consider using the shuttles to/from the Toy Story parking lot.

Used Uber several times back and forth from the Hilton. Called for pickup when I was at the bus pickup area and rarely had to wait by the time I got to the Uber lot. Worked great both ways and was usually less than $10 with tip

Is the Uber lot on the east side of the esplanade?

We've done it a ton and about the only time there might be significant wait is if you leave the parks at closing with everyone else. Then it can be quite a traffic jam at the load/unload spot on Harbor. Other than that as others have said it is usually fast and less than $10.

@Aspencreek is Absolutely Right! Avoid leaving at park close and it’ll be easy peasy…at park close, it’s a zoo!
