How is Tony's?

I can't wait to try Tony's in May! I've read a lot of bad things about it, but I don't believe it! :)

We had dinner at Tony's right after Christmas and all 5 of us loved it. The food was great and we had a great server. She was very friendly and effecient. It was a very enjoyable experience and everyone was full and satisfied!

When we ate there, we weren't overly impressed. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. It was just blah. The atmoshpere is nice. We really enjoyed the inside of the restaurant. The food wasn't bad, but it was only so so. With more options out there, we felt like for our next trip we'd rather try something else. How about trying one of the restaurants on the monorail that isn't far from MK? (O'hanas, Konas, 1900 PF). If not, I'd go w/ Crystal Palace.

I really enjoyed Tony's. We ate there in July and were impressed with both the service and the quality of the food. I was very nervous when my Mom suggested eating there. From some of the reviews I had read, I was anticipating eating garbage on a plate served to me by a completely incompetent waiter.

I had the Chicken Parmesian and a side Caesar Salad. They were both wonderful. The portions were very large too. Was it the greatest meal I've ever eaten? No. But does it deserve the harsh criticism it gets? In my experience, not at all.

This will be my 12th time to WDW and our first visit to Tonys so I am excited! Well actually back in 2000 we had breakfast here but I barely remember the food I just remember eating out in the enclosed veranda or whatever and it was really nice.

I didnt care at ALL for Crystal Palace, it was crowded, food was cold and there was alot of dishes empty that they werent refilling for some reason, desserts looked picked over and also werent being replenished. Character interaction was great I have two teens who had a ball playing around with Pooh and friends..

This pic is from our visit a few weeks ago. You can see the consistency of the meatball and sauce as someone referred to. Here's the good and the bad as our family saw it:

The spag and meatballs were okay but at $16.95 per adult for two meatballs (can't remember the kid price), it's just pricey (Disney prices) for what you get. We had two adults and two kids, ordered spag dinners for all of us plus a balsamic tomato appetizer and the bill was $70. I was just disappointed to remember no alcohol is served in the MK, a glass of Chianti would have made dinner lovely. :lovestruc Indeed ask for the solarium room, you can people watch better -- we forgot to ask. I was actually most disappointed in the bathrooms which I'm surprised no one has mentioned! They were dirty, tiny and did I mention tiny? Always a wait in line. We went on a busy Thursday evening and were really glad we had a reservation! We would try something else next time but for one experience, it was worth it. It was convenient that the evening parade started right near the door right as we finished dinner, we just walked outside and took it all in!

Enjoy!

I went to Tony's with my boyfriend in September for lunch and we both LOVED it! It was definitely one of the best meals we had the whole trip! He got the chicken parmigiana and I got the calamari. And we split an order of the toasted cheese and garlic bread. The food was absolutely delicious. We had great service. No complaints from either of us!

If you are Italian, or used to authentic Italian food you will not be impressed with the food. It's not terrible, but definitely not good Italian. We wouldn't use a TS credit on it again, but I can see it working for families after a long day in the parks. We ate there basically for the same reason, long day in the parks, and they had a walk up.

We have a tradition of eating lunch here on the first day of every trip. Not exceptional but definitely one of the best in the MK.
