How is Thrifty car rental

Just wondering... anyone have any feedback on Thrifty Car Rental at MCO? Never used them before so I am just wondering.

I find all car rental companies pretty much the same...so I usually go with the one that charges the least!

Join Blue Chip. Its free and you bypass the normal line.

While offsite, their shuttle is very efficient, as one pulled away from the terminal, another was showing up.

They are very efficient and friendly and usually have great rates.

We arrived @ MCO on 10-01 @ 11a got our luggage & went out side to the Thrifty bus stop, A9 (I think) no one else in line, only two other families on the buss, plenty of room for our party of 7, with way too much luggage and a way too big stroller. (Yes, getting a new smaller more compact stroller for next trip)
Bus ride was very calm & relaxing, gave us time to talk about all the fun coming up, the excitement of finally being back @ WDW & didnt have to drive through the airport, which I hate.
I think the bus ride was 10 or so minutes, seemed very short. Everyone off the bus, all the bags on the curb, plenty of benches to sit & wait, there were probably 10-15 sets of people there to check in @ the same time, they must run several buses? Anywho, DH waited in line maybe 5 minutes, his turn up to the check in desk, less than 5 minutes later had the keys & off to get the minivan, it was a Dodge Grand Caravan.
The return was even easier, pull in the drive, empty all your stuff on the curb as the bus driver loads it on the bus, the attendent scans the van or the key, inputs the milage (we had unlimited milage) into his handheld computer thingy & prints your receipt! D-O-N-E!

This is the best part we picked up 12:24pm on 10-1, we returned on 10-8 @ 11:55a, the total with a 10% off coupon from mousesavers was $207.70!!!

I know a lot of folks dont want to bother with the bus ride, but for the price & the ease & the convience, it cant be beat. Other than by using ME & not getting a rental at all.

I had to talk my brother into Thrifty and BlueChip. He was all worried about it being offsite... and giving his information up front, but there was no way he could match the minivan rental prices...
When he got to Disney the first thing they did was call me and THANK me - it was the easiest car rental they ever had - and the nicest. They couldnt believe how wonderful an experience it was and drop off was even easier upon return.

If your staying onsite, and your flying one of the DME airlines, you can check your bags and print your boarding passes at the hotel even if your not using DME. This is a really nice feature and makes the drop off and airport return so much nicer. No bag to worry about. No standing in lines for tickets.

mmmm.I just called and asked about the Magical Express, I wanted to use it on the return trip. They told me that I had to actually be on that bus with my luggage to take advantage of the service. Is this true><

If you are dlying on a participating airline you can get boarding passes and check luggage at your resort. it is separate from DME, if you're not flying a participating airline you have to bring your luggage with you to the airport, so yes you would have to be on the bus.
