I've known that my dbf of almost 7 months has never been to any Disney park. I was okay with that. Really. However, the other day I asked him if he wanted to see the new POTC movie with me on Saturday. He replied (and I quote), "Not really. I didn't think the first one was that great. I don't like Disney movies all that much." How is that even possible??? I eat, sleep and breathe Disney. It's a good thing he's fantastic in other ways or things would never work out between us.

I'm going to see the movie with my Disney addicted parents instead.

DH didn't love Disney at first. He had been to MK a few times, but it wasn't until I came along that he started to appreciate it. Now, he loves it (still not as much as I do, but I'm a freak about it).
We watch Disney movies quite a bit (watch Mary Poppins just last night). I just read reviews about POTC 2 and they all said it was better than the first. Maybe he will reconsider.

When I was dating, one of the "get to know you" type questions I always asked was "Mickey or Bugs?" Most of the guys said Bugs (even my now DH did too)...but if they said something bad about the mouse, they were history!

My DH was the same way so there is hope! Now he gets excited about going just about as much as I do, which is a good thing because we're usually out there a couple times a month. Although I don't think he's going through the summer withdrawals (because we're blacked-out with our passes right now) as much as I am!

it'll grow on him...dh had never been to WDW, done anything, watched anything or even cared that disney existed until I came along... now he's a changed man there is hope... enjoy the movie!!!

No flames to each his own as the saying goes. I loved it, not so sure it was the story line so much as the actors portraying the charactors......Johnny and orlando YUMMY!

MY DH is 31 and has never been to Disney. We just moved to Florida and I can't wait until August when I can take him!!!

He does want to see POTC, after he watches the first one.

While I liked the first one and will see the new one soon, it is very possible for someone to not like Disney. I know shocking. Don't take this the wrong way, but I hope the OP was joking about dumping him.
