How is the weather there right now?

We leave next week! I was planning on bringing jeans and t-shirts for all of us for pretty much all 8 days, and throwing in our sweatshirt hoodies for mornings and evenings. Does this sound right? Do I need to bring any shorts or long sleeved shirts? We are from NE where it was a high of 40 today, so we are not afraid of the cold but I don't want my kids to be cold. Would they need mittens, hats or gloves for evening? I just have no idea what it will be like! TIA!

If you are used to 40s, you will be fine. We are So Cal natives and were at the Park last night.

I wore jeans and denim long sleeved shirt (open and over a t-shirt). I had a sweatshirt for when it got chilly. I never put it on. (And keep in mind, my "chilly" and yours are probably very different! )

DH wore jeans, long-sleeved mock turtleneck. He put on his "fuzzy" sweatshirt when it got chilly.

I would not wear shorts even during the day, but if you are used to 40, you might.

I agree it's what you are used to. We were watching the fireworks in t-shirts (and hot at that) next to some California natives who were wearing heavy jackets and scarves! I got hot just looking at them.

We did get cool watching Fantasmic! because of the water spray so I think jackets for the evening are a good idea. DH and I just carried button down long sleeved shirts for the evening and rarely used them.

If you are use to 40's and a slight chilly breeze then you'll probably do fine. I would bring long sleeve shirts anyway just in case, you could always do a long sleeve with a short sleeve shirt ontop combo and just remove and adjust as necessary.

We were at the park Saturday 11/15, 11/16, and 11/17. Saturday was nice but a little cool during the day, and chilly at night - I believe weather.com said it was about 43? Sunday was a nice day, cool again, but not as cold at night. And today Monday was very nice and warm, but did get chilly in the evening.

The only night I bundled up was Saturday, rest of the nights I was fine wearing the short/long sleeve combo and a sweatshirt ontop, long jeans. If you're walking around and keeping busy you will probably be okay, plus you can feed off of the crowd's heat.

We will be there starting on Friday - it looks like it will get into the very low 70's for the highs most of the day. We are coming from St. Louis where today's high "may" get to 47/48. We probably won't wear shorts at all - maybe short sleeve shirts UNDER jackets but that's about it. I'm just looking forward to Sunny days - we have rain forecasted for the next 5-7 days.
