How is the UPDATED It's a Small World?

Last year IASW was closed for refurbishment while we were at MK. In fact that whole side of the park seemed to be behind construction walls.

I dont remember reading anything about how IASW has been done over & updated?

Anybody been on it? and How is it?

It's not really all that different from before - same layout, music, and general appearance but now the colors are brighter, there are more details and variety among the dolls, and I think more areas of the world are represented now. Still a classic but now improved!

IASW wasn't so much updated (at least to the guests view) but restored. Although behind the scenes many changes were made (new lighting and sound systems) the ride itself remained virtually unchanged.

I was on it, and didn't see the doll asking for help. But the ride seems "cleaner". It has new paint and the overall look is brighter.

The front side of the ride where you board now looks more like the ride in Disneyland, complete with the clock face.

The boats are all new and different colors other than green. The colors are brighter and the dolls and props have all been either repainted or recovered with different fabrics. The water is cleaner and doesn't have that scum floating on it. The insides are brighter and if there are black lighting the lighting shines better.

Overall, I thought it was a very good rehab job. IASW is a classic and it's nice to see it restored because for a while there it was starting to get tired and dull.

It didn't have a clock face before. The front was just colored buildings with some lights on it. Very bland.

The clock face is from DL.

The "Clock in Front" wasn't there at all, it is new. The boarding area was re-themed to more closely resemble the Disneyland version of the ride...however, the clock is much larger and outside at Disneyland, as is the entire boarding area. Florida's weather would not allow for an exterior boarding area.

Disney really did a wonderful job! The music sounds great, the dolls look great, and I love the end where they are all dressed up!

I think it is waaay better than it was before. More engaging and lively.

We also thought it was great!! Everything was sooo much more colorful and brighter than before. Definitely an improvement

I can't wait to see it all fixed up coming up in Nov. It surely needed it with all those cobwebs that used to be up in the corners.

Being a doll lover that was my fav ride as a child. I was plesently suprised but ds loved it just as much!! He is such a boy I thought he might think it was to girly. But I think it might have been one of his favs!!

I just love IASW and missed it very much when we were there last year. This year I've hyped it up so now DD is looking forward to it too. I love to sing the song and it has become a staple at night before DD goes to bed. Can't wait to see it. Yipee!!!

It was weird not seeing IASW last year, wasn't it!
