How is the transportation from Hard Rock to Volcano Bay?

We had such a great time at Universal last September we are beginning to make plans to visit again this year. We did not get a chance to go to Volcano Bay and we are looking at spending 2 days there this year. We are looking at 5 nights at the Hard Rock or 2 nights at Cabana Bay and 3 at the Hard Rock. I love having the freedom to walk to the parks that I am going to. How is the transportation from Hard Rock to Cabana Bay? Is it Disney bus bad lol?

We took the bus from HRH to Volcano Bay last March.
The bus made one stop at another hotel on the way to the waterpark.

Guests of Cabana Bay do have a walking entrance into the park.

Guess it's just a matter of preference...

Are they like Disney buses packed wall to wall standing up?

Not on the day when we visited. Every person had a seat and plenty of room for more.
Of course, each day is different I'm sure.

there is a separate bus that does Hard Rock and Portofino for volcano Bay

Very easy when we were there in December - no stops, just HRH to VB. Driver was very friendly and chatty and the bus wasn't busy at all (it was December though).

The buses at Universal are much better then the Disney ones. We have taken them from Cabana Bay and Portofino with no issues at all and always had a seat. Walking to Volcano Bay from Cabana was easy and fast. We usually split our stay between Cabana and a Deluxe just to be able to take advantage of the perk of walking right over to Volcano Bay not to mention we love Cabana Bay. If it weren't for the lack of express pass we would stay their our entire visit
