How is the Pop?

I've stayed at Pop 5 times and I've always enjoyed it. These stays have always been 4 day or shorter, where the point was to enjoy the parks, and all I needed a room for was a shower and a bed. The food court is adequate. Oddly, I've routinely had the best bus service at Pop, although that may have changed with the advent of the Skyliner.

My son and I are doing a long weekend 9/11-9/14. Hoping for lighter (whatever that means anymore at Disney)! Know the weather will be hot and humid!!
We have always stayed deluxe but got travel agency exclusive at Pop. What are good and bad?

we'll be there from the 8th to the 13th! It's a great resort. It's on the Skyliner...so easy access to Epcot and DHS. We still hit the parks hard....so its just a place to sleep and hit pools on the off day. The food court is ok...but a quick walk over to AOA and the food court is great! For the value...it's the tops IMO!

We are hoping for lighter crowds (if possible anymore!)
We are just using to sleep! Two day hoppers (got comped) so two kind hard days of as much as we can do.

You'll be fine!!! It is the weekend, so it probably will be close to 100% occupancy....but it holds the crowd well.

Be careful, they do still have the buses but they only fun one a hour.

But my point was that guests aren't "forced" to use the Skyliner-there is another option so IMO,if a Guest REALLY LOVES Pop Century,but is scared of the Skyliner,I think they should STILL stay at POP-it is too GROOVY and FAR OUT to miss!

If you are not afraid of heights the Skyliner is awesome as there is a ten person limit, so they don't crowd you like they do on the busses, you don't have to worry after a long day of walking through the park of having someones body falling into you as you are packed on the busses like sardines.

The room renos and now Skyliner are huge game changers. We've stayed deluxe and moderate in the past, but now we can't justify the added expense vs. what Pop offers.

And Hourglass Lake and all the cool stuff to look at across the bridge at AoA kick POP up a notch or 2 as well.

Having favorite resorts at all levels, Pop is an overall favorite in many ways. Most recent stay was just before the Skyliner opened. I always requested building 9 which is very convenient to the buses. Not sure which building I would like now with the Skyliner but I would definitely try to request a non-connecting room. In all the resorts, you can hear your neighbors even with both inner doors closed. I think it is a fun place to stay with your son!

We stayed at pop 2 years ago- it was our first value experience- and I was NOT excited to try it, but the price was great and the rooms were recently reno’d. We (me and my ds21 at the time) LOVED it! The rooms were clean and new, had two queen size beds, nice bathroom, great bus stop. I would definitely stay there again if we needed to do a value resort again.
