Hi there. I have a upcoming trip to WDW in September. I booked all my ADR's and one of them is for Dinner at The Grand Floridan Cafe. I have never eaten here and the menu does not look all to bad. I was wondering if any of you have eaten here and/or can share pictures (if you have any) and tell me how it was. My friend who is coming along on the trip picked the place and I am a little weary. Thank you.

We had dinner here for the first time last year and LOVED it. DH and I had steak, two of my daughters had the Pasta with Shrimp and our youngest DD had a kid's meal (mac & cheese?). We all shared the dessert sampler which was great! Both the service and food were excellent. :thumbsup2

This is one of my favorites, They have a relaxed atmosphere (for GF) and great food. We already have ressies for our next trip, it is a must every trip.

We love it. I have had breakfast and dinner - both excellent. For dinner, I have ordered, salmon and steak and both were good. I'm not sure why the GFC does not get more recognition - it is a good, reasonably priced attractive restaurant. I think it is because there are so many other restaurants at the Grand Floridian.

I think that it is awesome...a little known gem! We were staying at the Grand Floridian on the deluxe dining plan. I believe that we ate breakfast and lunch or dinner there. It was really good and the kids ate well also!

I had a wonderful dinner there in March. It was very last minute. It was about 8:30pm, we had a res at Flying Fish, but were honestly too tired to leave the resort. Our Concierge CM got us a last minute res at GFC. The staff could not have been nicer, and the food was outrageous.

We've only had lunch there & it was terrific. We loved it so much, it's on the list of lunches again this fall.

It's pretty good. I think it's better for lunch and it's less hectic. The soup is very good too.

I forgot, I have pictures....Click the thumbnnails for full size pix

I was there for first time in Jan with my parents. Loved the place. I would stay away from the beef. Dad had hte ribeye and it was inedible (and Dad has never met a meal he didn't lke!)

The chef came out and said they had no input on the beef they receive, and they have a lot of cmplaints

We at there on Friday night. The food was BELOW average. I had eaten there before, for lunch, and it was usually good. The service was also slow, even though the restaurant wasn't crowded.

We love the Grand Floridian Burger-the lobster and sauce on the burger is so yummy

We love dining at the Grand Floridian Cafe. Dinner was especially yummy. I had a rack of lamb once that was very tasty. And our server was outstanding. :thumbsup2
