We might get to stay there, just wondering if anyone else has stayed there and if it was nice?

It's a great resort, much nicer than the WL, IMO. Very convenient to Disneyland, Downtown Disney, and DCA (with private entrances to DD and DCA.)

Stayed there last June during the world premiere of POTC 2. Nice resort, can't beat the location, especially if you've been to any of the resorts in WDW. Watch out for the balcony sliding door-we got locked out and had to yell down to a CM working at Soarin to call the front desk and come get us out! It was also great for me because I got drenched at the Rapids ride and just had to walk a short distance to my room to change clothes. We did the hotel tour and got to see a couple of the suites (orlando bloom had just stayed in one of them with his dog).

You are definitely paying for convenience, and you can't beat GC for that. The lobby, common areas and grounds are beautiful. The pool is large and clean. The rooms are nice, but on the small side for what you are paying. We have stayed at cheaper resorts with much larger and nicer rooms. However, you have your own entrance into DCA and also into Downtown Disney. And, really, what do you do in your room besides sleep? Or other bed-related things...

We stayed 6 nights at the GCH the end of May. It was wonderful! :cloud9: The convience of the hotel is great. I have also stayed at the hotels across the street on Harbor, which are very close also, but there was just something about staying at the GCH vs the Good Neighbor hotels. It was like I didn't have to leave Disney at night and I loved it! It was my first time staying onsite and I will do it every chance I get now. I know we won't be able to stay everytime we go at one of the DLR hotels, but I will try to talk DH into it everytime now! :lmao:

We stayed there May 25-27 and absolutely loved it! You are paying a lot for quick access to the parks and the full Disney experience- but if you can swing it- I highly recommend it!
A lot of people have compared this resort to the Wilderness Lodge at WDW. I felt that the rooms at the GC were a bit bigger.
We had a wonderful time!
