We are thinking about a trip to disneyland for my B-day at the end of march. What can you tell us about this time of year? This will be our first trip so any useful info would be great.

From the middle to the end of March (and also the week before and after Easter, which falls on April 12th next spring) you tend to be running into school spring breaks. Since it doesn't coincide with Easter this year, maybe it won't be so bad. However, we were there during the last full week of March last year, and it was INSANE. Record crowd levels, full hours and entertainment schedule every day for those two weeks before and after Easter.

no good, everyone has spring break last week of march, it will be crowded:dance3:

Gail EEK!

I am planning as well for the end of March into April for my birthday, which is on the third of April.
I too, was figuring out if this time frame might be decent, crowd level wise, I am figuring it will be (hopefully) however of course, one can never know for sure, how any day will be positively until you or some one else is visiting Dl. that day.
Anyones thoughts I would appreciate, I had visited Dl. for my birthday, last year, the week of easter BIG MISTAKE! I had not thought it would be as crowded as it had been, for the year before that I had visited Dl. again, for my birthday, the same week, and it was fine. HOWEVER! it was not the week of Easter, HUGE DIFFERENCE! I still enjoyed my trip and visit, however between that Easter/Spring Break crowd, and the weather becoming rather hot at times, and not being a morning person! OMG!! never again, during the week Easter, and never again, going to Dl. in the early afternoon!! Last month when I was fortunate enough to visit DL. I made it a point to do so before the park opened, yay! I actually surprised myself he he! and was there before opening! the weather was awful my first day, for me it was anyway, for I cannot take too much sun, nor heat! my second day, the weather was so much nicer, to me, thank god! I had but those two days, however, it is better than only one day, which is better than none! is what I always say. the crowd level the first day, was very good, not too many people, the next day, by the evening came rolling around, it was if the flood gates were being opened, I figured many of the people that I saw were locals, coming to enjoy the park for the evening, and to watch the fire works later on. It still though was nothing like that wretched crowd last year! thank god!!

Gisele, April 3 is my baby brother's BD, too. He'll be 34, bless his little heart. (he has 5 daughters! LOL! And he and his wife had their honeymoon at DL!)

I'm thinking you might be ok that week, March 30-April 3... just because it's not yet the week before Easter, and college and school spring breaks are probably over. Seems like schools either schedule a March spring break, or one just before or after Easter, and that week is in between those. Hope so, for your sake! :)

We went earlier this year to Disney during Spring Break (end of March) and have our vacation booked for next year at the end of March (Spring Break again).

It was not too bad, in our opinion. We got to go on tons of rides with minimal wait.

We had a blast!!

Easter's April 12th this year- shouldn't be too bad and hopefully all the refurb's will be in order. I'm still pretty sure Fantasmic will be down though-- that's got me really hoping I'm wrong or that something will change. :wizard:

Ah, Gail, that is cute, that your baby brother has the same birthday as me, only I am older, (ugh) he he! ;) that means that we are both Aries. :) and thank you, I hope that everything goes well too

I am one that shudders at the thought of long lines, too much heat, and insane crowds! and also, thank god, this does not normally happen, people expressing their flatulence, and I also am not a fan of commando baby strollers, strollering across my toes, fortunately that does not normally happen either, now, if I loved the heat, and had the patience of a saint (not likely to happen anytime soon ;) ) had stopped up nasal passages, and was wearing steel toed shoes, then it probably would not be a point of contention (ah, but another word that dates back to the 14 century, I think that is cool)
