How is the bus transportation from CBR to the parks?

Hello all CBR experts,

I am considering staying at the CBR this Fall. According to the Unofficial Guide, CBR has the slowest transportation to the parks of any of the moderates or All Stars. I find this hard to believe since CBR has such a central location. Can anyone who has stayed there please comment on the bus transportation-the good and the bad. Thanks!

I hate to say it but during our trip two years ago to CBR the busing was awful. I would like to think it has improved though!! My complaint was that very few buses for each park came at all and when one would come, it would have already been to 3 villages in CBR-with 2 or 3 left to pick up the bus was already full. We waited almost an hour to get to the Magic KIngdom one night b/c every time a bus got to us it was full.
But..on a positive note they have been doing a lot of testing with CM's at the bus stops using walkie talkies to get buses based on who is going where at the bus stop. They had it at CSR in June 2002. (Note' CSR has the best bus service I have ever seen!)
Good luck...I wouldn't worry too much-you will be visiting when it should be less crazy in WDW. :)

We were just there a couple weeks ago and the bus system was fine, I don't think we ever had to wait more than 5 or 10 minutes for a bus and the 10 minute wait was because just as we were getting to the bus stop the bus we wanted was just pulling away.

We were there in June 2002 and stayed in the Jamaica Village. This was the first stop on pick ups and drop off. The bus service was great and we didn't have to wait long for any of the buses. I had also read the unofficial guide after I had booked our vacation and started worrying. They did not rate CBR very well at all and I started thinking maybe I needed to change. I didn't change and boy am I glad, CBR is a wonderful resort and we would stay there again without thinking twice. I think that the unofficial Guide people need to change their rating of this resort.

my wife and i stayed there two years ago, and never really had a problem. it was in october, however, when things are a bit slower. it seemed like a.k. buses were hard to find. we also stayed in jamaica, which is great because you are the first to be picked up, and the first to be dropped off going and coming from the parks. it really is a nice resort, we would not hesitate to stay there again.

I stayed at POFQ last year and we had to walk further for the bus than CBR did, plus CBR's seemed to show up more.

We stayed at CBR this past May and unfortunately had Trinidad South as our room location and bus stop. I have to agree with Tnkrbl2199, at that time the bus service really left alot to be desired. The wait for transportation at various times was really long. Hopefully they've improved since then.

We stayed there in December of last year for 14 days, never once did we have a problem with the buses and we were there for Christmas. The buses came often and if one was full it wasnt long before another one came and loaded up the rest of us. I would def stay there again and feel great about the bus service.

CBR isn't my favorite moderate, and part of the reason is the buses. I just don't like going to all of the stops. I do like POFQ, which also has several stops, but not quite as many.

I did think that the CBR buses came as frequently as they do at other places, it just took a bit longer to get where we were going. Also, even though the location is close to everything, the roads seem to be laid out in a way that makes everything take a bit longer than what you would think it should.

I do think that CBR is a fine resort, and the transportation is more than adequate, but there are other places I'd rather stay.

We loved the bus system. CBR does't share with other parks or resorts. There were tons of busses this 4th of July week. We waited late one night at DD for a return bus. That was the only wait. Plus you are near Studios for connections to other resorts. We stayed in Jamacia, which is the first drop off and first pickup point!!! I'd recommend it! Ren
