I am a disney virgin and FH has only been once when he was young so this will be the first time for both of us sort of I was wondering I have heard some bad reveiws and good ones for the all star music resort I did the upgrading to the room because we are going to be there on our honeymoon plus I don't like to have to walk far I do have a small handicapp so the upgrade will work good for us I guess my questions are is the hotel clean looking I know they are value resorts and when you take the bus to the parks how long does it useally take to get to the parks from there I also no it is more kid friendly but we will be there in 3 weeks so I know alot of kids are in school and I know that the parks close early the week that we are there and does any one know if the gift shop sales the bride and groom ears. oh I should say that we did not go on a package deal we are trying to save alot of money so we just have the room and we did PS and some other fun stuff that will make our honeymoon nice. so I appreciated any info on this please I am so  about WDW since I have never been there everything is so over welming to me but I am so excited that we are going there for are honeymoon.:Pinkbounc :bounce:

Oh another question that just came up since we are a resort guest does that mean we can go to other resorts and walk around and see things I have or going to pay when we get to WDW for the lulau at the polynesian on one night.

ASMu is very clean. My DGD7 and I enjoyed our stay there last year. Even though it is off season, there will be lots of kids there. Many families choose the AS to save money too: Families = kids. That's one of the things I liked most last year that there were lots of kids for my DGD to play with. The bus service is fantastic. I don't know where to by wedding ears. Have fun!

Congratulations on your upcoming honeymoon!

In response to your questions:

*We were really impressed with the All Star Music bus system. The busses are quick and reliable to all the parks. The bus ride time depends on the time of day and season. We haven't experienced more than a 20 minute bus ride during our stays at WDW. The longest wait we've experienced for a bus is about 10 minutes.

*We were impressed with the cleanliness and atmosphere of the All Star Music resort, but that was several years ago. Other people will probably have more current experiences.

*There is no charge to visit other resorts, but you will have to pay for meals and certain shows at resorts (like the Luau).

*I'm not sure where to buy the bride and groom ears, but you can always ask guest services at the All Star Music Resort when you check in. Cast members at stores around WDW will probably be able to help you too.

*You'll probably encounter fewer kids at the All Star Music Resort than if you visited during holidays or the summer, but like jennymouse said, there will always be families with kids at a value resort (and WDW in general).

Have a great trip! :bounce:

we'll be at the music on friday for the weekend...we just got back from the all star movies and boardwalk 2 weeks ago. We like the all stars and have always found the cast members very helpful and the rooms very clean. Yes this is a very kid family place but all of disney is that way. we never had a problem with noise in our room though and never found it too crouded. we tend to be up and about very early though and return rather late.

We just purchased the mickey bride and groom ears for my parents anniversary 2 weeks ago at MGM on hollywood blvd at a stand on the left hand side as you walk towards the tower of terror. I think the hat shop at the magic kingdom has them as well

We were at ASMu earlier this month for the first time. Our room was very clean. We stayed in the non-smoking Calypso building. We were in the back part of the building and it was very quiet. AS resorts have double beds. There may be some rooms with king, but they also might be the handicap accessible rooms. The food court was very nice. They had a good selection of food. It gets a little messy near the registers and drink area. If you walk further back to sit, it is quieter and a cleaner. There is someone cleaning all the time in the area, it is just there is a huge volume of people using the area. Transportation was very good. You will probably still have many families there, just not school age. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

I was there last Nov and thought it was great! There is a fountain in the courtyard between the buildings and between the pools which is very nice (lit up at night too). We stayed at Country Fair which was quite a hike but it was nice walking by the fountain! Our room was very clean. Never had to wait long for a bus. It has been said that Music has the least amount of kids with Movies the most amount and Sports second. Don't know if that is true or not though!! You will have a great time!

We stayed at ASMu for three straight years (99-01) during the week of Labor Day. I can confirm all of the positive comments above. For Disney's value resort (read lowest priced) I was amazed at the cleanliness and service. And the food court can be very budget friendly and provides a lot of variety. If you drink a lot of sodas or coffee, get the refillable souvenir mugs. It will save you $$$. Check this link (the Deb Wills website) for a review of Disney resorts. ASMu is listed.

Thank you everyone I am getting so excited about going even more now that I getting alot more info on things around disney world.

slimplaw - Just curious which bldg is the non-smoking Calypso where you stayed? Do you remember your room #? We also requested non-smoking and paid to be in the Calypso section so I'm wondering where they'll end up putting us. Thanks!
